This weekend WWE SummerSlam is taking place two nights august 2nd and 3rd at MetLife stadium in New Jersey. With the biggest party of the summer happening here are The Predictions for all the matches for Saturday and Sunday.
John Cena VS Cody Rhodes WWE Undisputed Championship street fight – for this match John Cena will win because it’s his last title Run in WWE before he retires. The last time is now and I expect Cena to be aggressive and prepared for a much physical bout. Cody I believe will be champion again one day but not at this present time.
Cm Punk VS Gunther World heavyweight championship – it’s been well over a decade and 17 years since cm punk last held the World Heavyweight title. With punk being the fan favorite it’s possible he will win but Gunther has a lot in his arsenal when it comes to that squared circle. Can Cm Punk match up with Gunther’s power and speed? I think we can expect the in with punk but it will be interesting to see what game plan he has going into Saturday night.
Raquel Gonzalez and Roxanne Perez VS Alexa Bliss and charlotte flair WWE Woman’s tag team championship – With the duo of Raquel and Roxanne of the judgement day I think that this team will retain their tag titles because as we have seen the past couple weeks they have been racking up victories on Raw and I don’t expect anything less than that from Raquel and Roxanne but I think this match will be exciting for WWE fans who follow the woman’s division.
Randy Orton and Jelly Roll VS Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre – I never thought in a million years I would see a country music celebrity and icon Jelly Roll wrestle in a WWE Ring and teaming with a legend such as Randy Orton. I honestly see Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre winning the match because Jelly Roll does not have any in ring experience or skill. I hope Jelly Roll is training and ready for Saturday otherwise he’s in for a rude awakening because it only takes one claymore or one knockout punch to stop someone.
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker and Bronson reed backed by Paul Heyman – after witnessing what went down on Monday night Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have all the momentum shifted to them which means all eyes are on Roman Reigns and Jey Uso going into night 1 on Saturday as we wait to see what they will do next after the beatdown they received but expect the unexpected from Roman and Main event Jey Uso who I believe will win this match but it won’t be a walk in the park and we don’t know what kind of condition both men are in but this match will be a fight on both ends for both teams.
Karrion Cross vs Sami Zayn -Time may be running out for Sami zayn who’s been dealing with cross for months on end now. As we saw on Raw this week if across wins Sami Zayn will say whatever Karrion wants him to say but if Sami wins Cross will have to leave Sami alone and say that he was wrong to judge Sami. This match I believe Karrion Cross should win because WWE hasn’t given him much screen time on tv to show what he is capable of and this would put Kross back on the map after the struggle he’s been dealing with creatively and it would only make sense to put Kross over.
Tiffany Stratton VS Jade Cargill WWE Woman’s Championship match – For the first time ever Jade cargill gets a singles title opportunity in WWE. A storm is coming and if Stratton better be ready. Based on what’s been seen from jade from her time in AEW she has incredible strength, physique and power and she is not be taken lightly. I think it will be an interesting match and Tiffany Stratton is not going to let that title slip away as she has proven herself many times and I think she will be the one to walk out of summerslam still the champ.
Dominic Mysterio VS AJ Styles WWE Intercontinental Championship – This match has the potential to be very promising. I think there will be so much going on in this match as Dominic usually has help from the Judgement day so if styles wants to win it has to be in the back of his mind that Dominic can’t get the job done on his own so I believe styles will win the IC Title if he can outsmart and outperform Dirty Dom.
Solo Sikoa VS Jacob Fatu WWE United States championship steel cage match – This match will not be for the faint hearted for either competitor. Both men used to be allies and friends but now they will go to war inside a steel cage and the Samoan Werewolf Will be out for blood and will do whatever is necessary to win and I think that solo will come out of this victorious but this will test Solo to see if he can even handle a environment like this but I think he will be able to handle it well.
Becky Lynch VS Lyra Valkyria WWE Woman’s intercontinental championship -Becky lynch and Lyra have been at each others throats for weeks now and for Lyra this is personal as She believes Becky stole the title from her and didn’t play by the rules. Sunday on night 2 this match will have no rules and no disqualification so it’s fair game and Lyra needs this match to go in her favor and I think she is ready to go to limits we haven’t seen her go before yet and for Becky lynch this is nothing new to her as she has been in matches like this before. I see Becky winning and retaining the IC Title as it would push the feud even further and make it more intense so we will have to see what happens.
Naomi VS Rhea Ripley VS Iyo SKY woman’s world championship triple threat – This triple match threat should be very exciting as Naomi will be defending her title for the first time after cashing in for it. Everyone in this match better proceed with caution because this is a much more dangerous and unpredictable Naomi that we are seeing. On Raw this week Rhea and Iyo had an exchanging of words about who has each others number when it comes to wins and who’s beat who so we got a glimpse of foreshadowing and I believe That Rhea and Iyo are too focused on beating each other and surpassing each other that it could cost both of them allowing Naomi to capitalize and retain her title so Naomi is likely to win.
Tables Ladders and chairs match WWE Tag Team Championship – This match will be the most fun and entertaining one to watch as every major tag team will put their bodies on the line. One team that people should have their eye on is the motor city machine guns Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin who have not held a title together in WWE Just yet but they will have to go through the Wyatt Sicks, fraxiom, DIY, The Street profits, and Andrade/ Rey Phoenix but it will be a high risk high impact match so we have to go with the motor city machine guns who need that push.
WWE Summerslam will start on both nights at 6pm EST/3pm PT exclusively on peacock.
