If you think your workplace has bad vibes, let me introduce you to the 2026 New York Mets. At this point, every time someone’s phone rings, half the clubhouse probably thinks they’re getting traded before they can finish tying their cleats.
The trade deadline is creeping up faster than a New York rent increase, and the Mets have officially gone from chasing a playoff spot to holding what feels like the biggest yard sale in Major League Baseball.
Francisco Lindor is trying to keep everyone focused, but let’s be honest—that’s like telling people to ignore the smell while the house is on fire.
Lindor said the message in the clubhouse is simple: “Win every game.”
That’s a great plan… maybe they should’ve started that back in May.
He admitted it’s only human nature to pay attention to all the trade rumors floating around. Of course it is! Imagine sitting in the clubhouse wondering if your next meal is in Queens, Milwaukee, San Diego, or somewhere you’ve got to Google on the flight over.
Lindor basically shrugged it off by saying, “Whatever happens, happens. My job is to play shortstop.”
Translation:
“Don’t ask me… I’m just trying not to end up on MLB Trade Rumors every five minutes.”

The Mets have already shipped out David Peterson and A.J. Minter, and Lindor made sure to praise Minter for being the ultimate teammate.
Classy move.
But somewhere in that clubhouse, somebody has to be looking around thinking…
“Who’s cleaning out their locker tomorrow?”
That’s where the Mets are right now.
Forget chemistry—these guys are trying to remember each other’s names before somebody gets sent to another zip code.
The crazy part? Even Lindor’s name has popped up in trade chatter.
Now, is he actually getting traded?
Probably not.
Steve Cohen didn’t hand out a fortune just to watch Francisco Lindor become someone else’s franchise player. Trading Lindor would be like buying a Ferrari and then selling it because you don’t like the gas prices.

Still, this season has been such a disaster that nothing feels completely impossible anymore.
The Mets didn’t just fall short of expectations…
They tripped over them, rolled down the stairs, landed in the basement, found another flight of stairs… and somehow still finished below expectations!
At this point, the only thing getting more action than the Mets’ trade phones is Mets fans refreshing social media every 30 seconds hoping somebody—anybody—can save this franchise.
And if the losing keeps up, don’t be surprised if Citi Field starts handing out tissues instead of rally towels.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
