The New York Knicks didn’t just sweep the Philadelphia 76ers.
They didn’t just win a series.
They didn’t even just “move on.”
No.
They showed up in Philly, hit so many threes that the arena started buffering like it was trying to process a system error, and sent the Sixers straight into basketball witness protection.
Final score: 144–114.
Sweep complete.
Eastern Conference Finals unlocked.
And OG Anunoby? Still out with the hamstring.
Doesn’t matter. At this point the Knicks are just spawning new players like it’s a video game with mods installed.
Because somehow… Deuce McBride turned into a certified problem.
Deuce “I pay rent in Philadelphia” McBride dropped 25 points and casually splashed 7 threes like he was late for a shift at the microwave factory and needed to clock out early.
Every shot he took felt illegal.
Every make felt like it should’ve come with a court warning.
At one point the Sixers defense looked like they were trying to guard him with hopes, prayers, and expired Wi-Fi.
And Jalen Brunson?
Same old Brunson.
Except now it’s playoff Brunson, which is basically regular Brunson but with zero conscience and a “try and stop me, I dare you” attitude.
22 points. 6 threes. Pure control.
The man is running the Knicks offense like he’s playing NBA 2K on rookie mode and forgot to turn sliders up for the other team.
Then there’s Karl-Anthony Towns.
This is where things get weird.
Because KAT is not supposed to be doing THIS.
17 points, 10 assists, and at times looked like a 7-foot point guard who just unlocked a hidden passing DLC mid-series.
He wasn’t just facilitating—he was diagnosing the defense like a doctor who went to med school specifically to ruin Philadelphia’s weekend.
Every pass was on time. Every read was correct. Every possession felt like the Sixers were being slowly dismantled by a very tall chess player.
And then came the avalanche.
The Knicks tied a playoff record with 25 made threes.
TWENTY-FIVE.
At some point, the game stopped being basketball and turned into a public service announcement about fire safety.
The Sixers would score… and the Knicks would respond immediately with a three like it was a personal insult.
It wasn’t a game.
It was a notification system.
“Sixers scored.”
Knicks reply: immediate destruction from deep range.
Philadelphia fans started doing that thing where they stare into the distance like they just remembered an embarrassing moment from 2018.
Even Joel Embiid’s 24 points on perfect shooting felt like background noise in a disaster movie where the building is already gone but the alarm is still ringing.
And the final insult?
The Knicks didn’t just win.
They swept.
They walked into Philly, took the series, took the rhythm, took the confidence, took the crowd, took the oxygen out the building, and left with a reservation for the Eastern Conference Finals.
No OG Anunoby.
Doesn’t matter.
Because Deuce McBride turned into Splash Mountain.
Brunson stayed elite.
KAT unlocked passing enlightenment.
Mikal Bridges kept locking people up like he has a personal vendetta against scoring.
And the Knicks as a whole?
They looked like a team that just realized the three-point line is optional and decided to treat it like a suggestion they could ignore at will.
Now they move on.
And if the rest of the East is paying attention…
They should probably start stretching.

I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country.
