The Faces Behind The Show

Branden Falco

My name is Branden Falco, ever since I was a little boy at just 7 years old I’ve had a passion for sports like no other. As a 21-year-old man as we speak today, that passion for sports has still never left my soul. As a former multi-sport athlete as a Baseball player and Basketball player, my life had consisted of watching, playing, and talking sports 24/7. In 2018, as I entered my freshman year of college as a collegiate Baseball player, I felt my love for playing was starting to slip away after realizing I had more interest in watching and talking sports. I always thought I could go on these sports debate shows and give takes from a different perspective as well as show my polarizing and outgoing personality. I’ve dealt with 3 major injuries in 4 years; tearing my ACL junior year of high school during basketball, sprained my UCL freshman year of college, and tore my UCL my redshirt freshman year of college. After dealing with injuries I started to feel I would rather be apart of the media business, talking sports versus playing baseball. Mentally I didn’t allow myself to admit that because I always had a dream of playing baseball professionally.

In the beginning of 2020, I injured my arm for a 3rd consecutive season and finally came to peace hanging up the spikes and ending my baseball career.
With that being said, I finally found my path to do what I love to do most which was talk sports. In 2019, I found myself sitting in Carl Coulanges’ radio class (the EP of “The Sports Hit List” where he introduced me to the sports media industry. After countless arguments we had in his classroom about sports, he eventually granted me an opportunity to come on his platform and do my very first sports debate on camera.

After coming on his platform a few times I decided to start my own sports podcast @The Falco Takeaway on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. I began my platform on May 19th, 2020. I am more than thrilled with the way my platform has grown and seen myself grow as a speaker, debater, and ability to give my takes as professional as possible.

Any opportunity to talk sports is something I want to cherish. I just want to thank Mr. Marks for reaching out to me and giving me an opportunity to host shows on his platform to do what I do best, and what I love to do most, talk sports.
