LSU Tigers Football and their fans can finally breathe as they were waiting on pins/needles to see what Lane Kiffin would do about his future as head coach with Ole Miss. Once Brian Kelly was fired, the main target for them was Kiffin all along by offering him a big contract. But at the time he was still focusing on coaching Ole Miss with one goal as a team. The Tigers wanted to make a statement at head coach, trying for a new leader that can bring swag, winning culture and making their fans happy. Ole Miss has the opportunity to do something special this season with potentially being in the mix for college football playoffs.

This whole week was tough for Lane Kiffin and his family as he trying to coach the Ole Miss players at the same time. LSU Tigers offered 7 years worth $91 million which includes an automatic escalator that makes him the highest-paid coach in the country if he wins a national title. Kiffin has spent six years with Ole Miss building great relationships with coaching staff, players, fans which is why this took long. It was really tough for him as he kept praying, mentioning his late father Monte Kiffin who was a true legend in the game of football and will be missed. Nick Saban and Pete Carroll who are Lane Kiffin’s mentors actually helped him make this decision process more easier to make.

Ole Miss and their AD Keith Carter had a meeting with Lane Kiffin as he told them his intentions were going to accept the LSU Job. Kiffin wanted to coach rest of the season but Carter wouldn’t allow that which Lane understood after telling ESPN’s Marty Smith. So now Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding will be taking over as head coach while Kiffin gets ready for a new chapter in Baton Rouge. Sunday November 30th was when everyone got word that LSU got their head coach in Lane Kiffin as the Ole Miss fans said their proper goodbyes. Everyone was excited in Baton Rouge, celebrating that Kiffin will be taking over and building a new era of LSU Tigers football.

Coach Lane Kiffin is already putting together his coaching staff that will help him win multiple championships for LSU. To see him working quickly here with the Tigers should be really exciting for their fans and etc. Kiffin has an amazing family with his son Knox Kiffin playing high school football currently. Players love playing for Lane, he is well respected in college football, bring swag and a winning culture. LSU Tigers should do fantastic when it comes to recruiting players with coach Kiffin now on board. You will see a much different LSU Tigers team from the ones when Brian Kelly was coaching.

The biggest question everyone wants to know can Lane Kiffin, his coaching staff that he assembles together lead LSU Tigers football to a national championship as expections are now high in Baton Rouge.
