Ladies and gentlemen… the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially entered the Hall of Fame of “WHAT IN THE ENTIRE HELL DID WE JUST WATCH?!”
I’m sitting there Tuesday night watching the New York Knicks down 22 points in the fourth quarter looking deader than my phone battery after a six-hour sports rant. Madison Square Garden was quiet. Nervous. You could hear a guy in the upper deck stress-eating chicken fingers.
The Knicks offense for three quarters looked like five guys trying to assemble IKEA furniture without instructions.
Brick.
Brick.
Turnover.
Brick.
Another brick.
At one point I think the rim filed a restraining order.
Meanwhile Cleveland looked comfortable. Smug. Relaxed. Donovan Mitchell was cooking. Evan Mobley was rebounding everything in sight like he was vacuuming crumbs off the floor. The Cavs were up 93-71 with under eight minutes left and probably had fans googling “cheap flights to NBA Finals.”
Then…
Then Jalen Brunson transformed into a five-foot-eleven Italian uncle from Queens who just found out somebody touched the last tray of baked ziti.

This man looked at James Harden and said:
“Oh yeah… BBQ chicken. Extra sauce.”
Every possession became basketball terrorism.
Switch.
Attack Harden.
Bucket.
MSG explodes.
Repeat.
Harden was moving on defense like somebody asked him to help move a couch up four flights of stairs. Brunson had this man spinning in circles like he was trying to find parking in Manhattan during Christmas season.
AND THE GARDEN STARTED SMELLING BLOOD.
You know that sound New Yorkers make when chaos starts happening? That “OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!” noise right before somebody throws hands at Yankee Stadium?
That was MSG.
The Knicks went on an 18-1 run and Cleveland started panicking like somebody yelled “THE TRAIN AIN’T RUNNING” during rush hour.
The Cavs offense completely fell apart.
One possession looked like:
Bad pass.
Panic dribble.
Shot clock screaming.
Brick.
Everybody looking confused.
Another possession looked like five guys trying to merge onto the Long Island Expressway at the same time.
Absolute disaster.
And Brunson?
OH MY GOD.
This dude wasn’t even sweating. He looked calm. Evil calm. Like a movie villain who already knows the ending.
Tie game.
101-101.
Garden losing its damn mind.
I swear one Knicks fan in the front row almost ascended into another dimension.
Then overtime started and Cleveland basically submitted a resignation letter from professional basketball.
9-0 Knicks run.
DONE.
COOKED.
FINISHED.
GOODNIGHT.
Madison Square Garden sounded like somebody dropped a nuclear bomb filled with espresso and bad decisions. People were hugging strangers. Beer flying everywhere. Stephen A. Smith probably ripped three buttons off his suit jacket screaming.
And somewhere in Ohio there’s a Cavs fan sitting in complete silence staring at the wall like:
“…how?”
Let’s talk about Harden for a second because brother… WHAT WAS THAT?!
15 points.
1-for-8 from three.
Six turnovers.
Six turnovers?!
That’s not a stat line. That’s a deleted scene from Space Jam.
Brunson was targeting him like WiFi targets my sanity during a thunderstorm.
Meanwhile Mikal Bridges gave the Knicks huge buckets, OG Anunoby woke up late after looking rusty most of the night, and Karl-Anthony Towns brought energy and toughness like a bouncer at a nightclub in Brooklyn.
But this game belongs to Brunson.

38 points.
Legendary comeback.
MSG folklore forever.
This wasn’t basketball.
This was a New York survival movie.
And the scariest part for Cleveland?
The Knicks played like absolute garbage for three quarters and STILL WON THE GAME.
That’s terrifying.
That’s like getting hit by a bus and then the bus backing up to hit you again just to make sure.
The Knicks are now eight straight wins deep and the city is officially delusional again. Parade routes are being discussed. Old Knicks fans are crying in diners. Spike Lee probably hasn’t slept in 14 hours.
Game 2?
Oh buddy…
Now the pressure’s on Cleveland because if they blow another lead like this, the entire state of Ohio might legally ban basketball forever.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
