So let me get this straight…
You roll into the World Baseball Classic with a lineup that looks like an All-Star Game DLC pack — I’m talking Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, and a whole Avengers lineup of hitters…
…and you score TWO RUNS in the championship game???
TWO.
Not twenty. Not twelve. Not even a respectable “we tried our best” five.
TWO.
Meanwhile, Venezuela said, “Yeah… we’ll take that trophy, thanks.” And they did — 3-2, walk-off heartbreak, pack your bags, see you next time.
THE GAME (aka “The Great Disappearing Act”)
Let’s break down what actually happened tonight:
- USA offense: missing like my motivation on a Monday morning
- Venezuela pitching: looking like prime cyborgs
- Crowd: basically a Venezuelan home game
- Me watching: “ANYBODY wanna hit?? HELLO???”
The U.S. had just TWO hits through seven innings.
TWO.
Then Bryce Harper comes in like a Marvel cameo — BOOM 💥 — ties it with a 2-run homer in the 8th.
I’m thinking:
“WE BACK!!! THIS IS A MOVIE!!!”
Next inning?
Game-winning hit… Venezuela walks it off…
And just like that — roll credits.
Pain.

THE “DREAM TEAM” THAT TURNED INTO A SLEEP TEAM
Let’s talk about the stars…
- Aaron Judge: 0 hits, 3 strikeouts in the final
- Big bats overall: quieter than a library during finals week
- Whole lineup: swinging like they were using pool noodles
This wasn’t a slump…
This was a group project where nobody did their part.
YANKEES ENERGY IN BIG GAMES???
I’m sorry but I gotta say it…
Team USA looked like the New York Yankees in October:
- Regular games: 💪🔥
- Big moment: 😴🥶
All that power… just to ground out softly to second base like it’s a charity event.
😂 RED SOX IRONY (YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP)
And here’s where it gets poetic…
- A Boston Red Sox pitcher gives up the winning run
- A Red Sox bat ends the game with a strikeout
Somewhere, baseball is laughing like:
“Yeah… that’s cinema.”
NO EXCUSES THOUGH
Here’s the difference…
You didn’t hear USA players crying to the world.
No press conference drama. No violin music.
(Yeah I said it, Juan Soto, we remember 👀)
USA took the L like:
“Yeah… we stunk.”
Respect for that.
WAS THE WBC STILL A SUCCESS?
Absolutely.
- Packed crowds
- Insane energy
- People actually caring about baseball in March
But medals???
Gold, silver, bronze???
This ain’t the Olympics — nobody’s standing on a podium like it’s figure skating.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR TEAM USA?
Let’s be real:
- Some of these older guys? Probably their last WBC
- Pitching restrictions? Still a mess
- Offense in big moments? Needs therapy
Because if THIS is the “dream team”…
I’d hate to see the nightmare version.
I love Team USA. I really do.
But tonight?
That wasn’t elite baseball.
That was:
Peewee Baseball with a $500 million payroll.

I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do.
