Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s championship

After Jade Cargill was victorious in the acclaimed King Of The Hill tournament she was granted a title match opportunity against current champion Tiffany Stratton who just recently passed the 200 day mark on her title reign. However is Cargill championship material? Quite frankly all Cargill has as at the current moment as a WWE superstar is the look and physique. With her intimidating stature and ability to physically pick up the heaviest of superstars she hasn’t really excelled in the ring as hoped for. Her in-ring work has moderately improved in the last year but doesn’t shine anywhere near Stratton in the women’s division. Stratton on the other hand has shown to be an amazing in ring talent and has carried the title well for her time as women’s champ. However Stratton has had a few sleep worthy matches in Charlotte Flair and legend Trish Stratus which have some people speculate that a new face as champ would benefit, I believe come Summerslam Stratton will come remain as women’s champion

Two men who have been in the upper mid card spotlight for quite sometime have excelled in their most recent rivalry. Kross who feels he is deserving of more screen time and the spotlight being taken away from him by stars like Sami Zayn led to a singles match bout at most recent PLE Night of Champions which led to Sami Zayn being victorious over Kross. However, just last week in a rematch on Monday Night Raw Kross returned the favor by pinning Zayn to win the match and tie their series 1-1 with Summerslam now serving as the tie breaker. Therefore with Zayn who seemingly lost the most recent match and a superstar who doesn’t really lose a whole lot of PLE matches it should be a sure thing for Zayn to come out on top, right? Looking at how Kross’ character has been on a nuclear tear recently exposing the truth behind the kayfabe character and the behind the scenes troubles with Triple H and other head producers and writers, in story wise it would make a whole lot more sense if we see Kross being the winner and coming out of the rivalry with a 2-1 victory next week.

The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxxane Perez) © vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss – Women’s Tag Team Championships

The Judgement Day faction which has seen a lot of rebrandment lately and overall success including the new edition of recent Raw call up Roxxane Perez. However the unexpected frenemy tag team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss has definitely surprised a ton of viewers. No surprise that the duo has actually been successful considering how talented both women are ring wise but can they defeat a team that has pretty much held these tag titles hostage for the better part of a year? This could go two ways this match being the fact that Perez is being a placement holder for Liv Morgan’s legit injury hiatus the judgement day could very well lose this match before regaining the titles later down the road by an interruption from Liv Morgan setting up a possible feud from within the faction. On the other hand the Flair and Bliss duo which has gained a ton of popularity amongst the fans as well as the ladies first title reigns in a while I could see the new duo being tag team champs.

A partial reunion of the OG bloodline will see Roman Reigns tag (first tag match in over a year) with his cousin Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, the new clients of his former wiseman Paul Heyman. Now it would make a whole lot of sense to have Reigns who hasn’t lost a lot of matches in general since the year 2020 to come out victorious and yeet with his cousin Jey throughout metlife which would be a spectacular aspect of the show. However, it’s fair to say that the steam behind the push for Breakker and Reed is way too strong and tense to even think of cooling them off. On top of that they do have the wiseman in their corner who has been known to interfere with numerous matches as long as it benefits his clients in the past. In addition the whole M.O. for reigns is to get back at his former wiseman Heyman for his betrayal at wrestlemania which with a win here would not make any sense to further a story between the two which they very well could. Therefore Breakker and Reed will definitely be the winners when its all said and done.

Well this match is…..quite something is it? Truthfully the least looked forward to match on the entire card would be an understatement for this match. Not sure what the thought process was behind here but I see the babyfaces in Randy Orton and Jelly Roll coming away with the win over McIntyre and Paul, end of discussion so lets move on.

Now the matchup that has long been teased and what a majority of fans wanted for some time. The best in the world CM Punk with arguably the biggest matchup since his return two years ago against a man who has dominated the men’s division in the ring general Gunther. The match, although not confirmed to be, will likely serve as night one’s main event matchup. And looking at the title reign from Gunther so far, he is very incapable of having a bad match with any of his competitors. Therefore to get it right out there Punk who is no stranger to putting on stellar performances, this match is the most looked forward to of all of summerslam. But will Gunther be able to retain? Now although Gunther has had great matches, it’s worth noting that this is in fact his second title reign as the world champ. Therefore if he has lost to someone like Jey Uso, Punk can definitely walk out victorious and hold his first world title since 2013.

Although if punk does win and become world champ there is a bit of a theory that may or may not come to fruition. The fact that Triple H has tried his hardest to return kayfabe to the modern WWE its worth noting that Punk’s main rival at the moment being Seth Rollins who is the current money in the bank holder may not actually be hurt. I understand he was shown being carried backstage and even using crutches this is definitely within the realm of Triple H to deceive his viewers just to right hand them with the unexpected. Now what would be more unexpected you ask? Easy, the best way will be to have Rollins appear at the end of the matchup to cash in on Punk and steal the world title similar to his Mania theft a couple years back one Rollins first cash in. Ending off the show on top with the world title just like before.
