Sean McDermott is no longer the head coach of the Buffalo Bills.

But apparently, somebody forgot to tell Sean McDermott that he’s allowed to stop rooting for them!

McDermott, who spent nine seasons in Buffalo before getting shown the door after another disappointing playoff exit, was asked on The Rich Eisen Show who he thinks is going to the Super Bowl.

His answer?

Bills-Rams.

Now THAT is loyalty!

Most people get fired and immediately start looking for reasons why their old employer was terrible.

You know the routine.

“That place was toxic.”

“The coffee sucked.”

“My boss didn’t understand football.”

“I always knew the organization was going downhill.”

Sean McDermott?

“Yeah, I think they’re winning the Super Bowl.”

THIS MAN GOT FIRED AND STILL GAVE HIS OLD EMPLOYER A FIVE-STAR REVIEW!

McDermott basically said, “They fired me, but I still love them.”

That’s either tremendous class…

or Buffalo has REALLY good barbecue.

McDermott spent nine seasons in Buffalo, went 98-50, took the Bills to the playoffs eight times and helped turn the franchise into a legitimate contender.

The only problem?

They never got to the damn Super Bowl!

That’s the part Bills fans don’t want to talk about.

Nine years.

Eight playoff appearances.

A whole lot of winning.

And every January eventually turned into:

“Well… there’s always next year.”

Buffalo finally decided it was time for a change and fired McDermott after the latest playoff disappointment.

Joe Brady took over, and now McDermott is sitting on the outside looking in.

And what does he do?

He picks Buffalo to win the AFC.

That’s like getting divorced and telling everybody:

“She’s going to marry a great guy. I really believe in her.”

COME ON, SEAN!

You don’t have to be THAT mature!

But McDermott wasn’t just blowing smoke.

He actually likes what Buffalo has done this offseason.

And I’ll tell you something — the Bills didn’t exactly sit around eating wings and watching everybody else improve.

They went out and got DJ Moore to give Josh Allen a legitimate WR1.

They added Bradley Chubb.

They added Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

And now Josh Allen has even more weapons around him.

So McDermott looks at this roster and says:

“Yeah… I wouldn’t bet against them.”

And honestly?

I can’t blame him.

Josh Allen is still Josh Allen.

The Bills still have one of the best quarterbacks in football.

And now they’ve added more firepower around him.

But then McDermott took the classy route again when talking about his replacement, Joe Brady.

He basically said Brady is walking into a healthy organization, knows the building, knows the players and spent four years around the team.

In other words:

“I got fired, but I’m not going to sit here and trash the guy who got my office.”

That’s called being a grown-up.

Something we don’t see enough of in sports anymore!

And here’s where this gets REALLY interesting.

McDermott also picked the Los Angeles Rams to make it to the Super Bowl.

And let’s be honest…

THE RAMS ARE LOADED.

They went out and got Myles Garrett.

Then Aaron Donald decided retirement wasn’t permanent and came back.

Because apparently retirement in the NFL now means:

“I’ll see you guys in six months.”

So McDermott sees Buffalo and Los Angeles as his two Super Bowl teams.

And if that happens?

OH BOY.

We’re going to have a Super Bowl storyline that writes itself.

Former Bills coach Sean McDermott watching his old team play for the Lombardi Trophy against the Rams.

And I’m already picturing McDermott sitting there like:

“I just want everybody to have fun.”

Meanwhile Bills Mafia is climbing through tables in the parking lot!

Four NFL Media analysts have already predicted Bills-Rams as the Super Bowl matchup.

Two picked the Rams.

Two picked Buffalo.

McDermott wouldn’t pick a winner.

And honestly, I know why.

Because if he picks Buffalo and they lose, people will say:

“See? McDermott knew they couldn’t get it done.”

If he picks the Rams and Buffalo wins?

“LOOK AT THIS GUY! HE LEFT AND NOW HE’S ROOTING AGAINST US!”

So Sean basically said:

“I’m staying the hell out of that argument.”

Smart man.

But I’ll tell you what I love about this story.

McDermott could’ve easily buried Buffalo.

He could’ve said, “Well, they moved on from me, so I’m focused on my future.”

Instead, he talked about the impact Buffalo had on him and his family.

That’s actually pretty cool.

Because coaches get fired.

Players get traded.

Executives get replaced.

But the memories don’t disappear.

And apparently, neither does McDermott’s love for Buffalo.

So here we are.

Sean McDermott is unemployed from the Bills…

AND STILL PROMOTING THEM FOR THE SUPER BOWL!

Buffalo fans, you might want to apologize to this man.

You fired him…

and he STILL believes in you!

That’s the kind of ex you don’t deserve.

Now the real question is:

Can Joe Brady do what Sean McDermott couldn’t?

Can Josh Allen finally get Buffalo to the Super Bowl?

Because if Bills-Rams actually happens…

I’m telling you right now:

Sean McDermott better be sitting in the stands wearing a Bills jersey.

And if Buffalo wins?

Somebody needs to hand McDermott the Lombardi Trophy and say:

“Congratulations, Sean. You finally won it… AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A JOB!”

THAT would be the most Buffalo Bills thing EVER!

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.

What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.

Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.

My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
