Week 4 was simply madness as we witnessed our first tie of the season with the Green Bay Packers narrowly losing to the Cowboys. The biggest stories of the week being the injuries of Chargers tackle Joe Alt and Giants Wide receiver Malik Nabers leaving the contest with serious injuries. Week 4 was filled with miraculous moments and also head scratchers, as we were blessed yet again with some great football. I am here again to go over my top 32 list of the NFL and this is the aftermath after week 4 of the 2025 NFL season.

The best part of this list still is that it will be refreshed so if you do not like where your team is placed they will probably end up higher on this list at some point during the season. I wish everyone a continued great 2025-2026 NFL season. Happy Football yet again!

1. Eagles: The Eagles absolutely had the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost in the first half. Quarterback Jalen Hurts continued to shine despite his “lower than normal” statline once again. He threw for just over a hundred yards but threw for two scores with tight end Dallas Goedert getting in the mix and having a big day. Star running back Saquon Barkley also had an easy score off a fake tush push. As I stand corrected with the Eagles being only one of two teams still undefeated after week 4 (Bills are the only other), the defending Superbowl champions look to keep their winning streak alive.

2. Bills: The Buffalo Bills completed their victory over the New Orleans Saints this past Sunday as they came away with the game late. For the second straight week it was actually a much closer contest as we thought as the Bills had a close game last week with the Dolphins and now this week it was New Orleans. James Cook ran in for another score as he had a big day and MVP quarterback Josh Allen threw for two scores. This Bills team is staying at 2 for the week and it was easily done so considering they are one of two teams left that have an undefeated record, as stated previously. Next week the Bills have a familiar divisional matchup at home with the Patriots coming to town.

3. Rams: The Rams still proved why they are still one of the top teams in the league while having a potent offense and a strong defense . While I will not call the Colts frauds as I thought they played well against LA, the connection between quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Puka Nacua was still strong. Matthew Stafford threw 3 touchdowns on the day as the offense flourished, and even got Devante Adams in the endzone as well. The Rams continued success in my opinion still relies on the health of veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford as he enters his 17th season, but luckily as well they have one of the best coaches in the NFL in Sean Mcvay.

4. Chargers: The Chargers arguably had one of the biggest shocks of the week as they caught their first loss this past Sunday to the New York Giants. The biggest takeaways from this game for me was the injury of star offensive tackle Joe Alt, and the slow start from Herbert and the Chargers throughout the first half. For Joe Alt it’s an ankle injury that could sideline him for multiple weeks and that is a huge blow for the former first round pick out of Notre Dame, and for the protection of their quarterback. The game did not go as planned even still as quarterback Justin Herbert threw two turnovers and the emergence of new Giants rookie Jaxson Dart had Metlife rocking for the wrong reasons. It’s the Chargers first loss of the season but no time to panic yet as Omarion Hampton still had a huge game still rushing for over 100 yards and a score, and wide receiver Quinten Johnston continues his touchdown streak having a strong connection with Herbert. Boy has Johnston bounced back from years past and I have to give him his credit. I expect Harbaugh and the Chargers to pick it up again next week as they are home and have to face a Commanders team who I have even lower on this list this time.

5. Packers: A tie in 2025? Yes you read that right, the Packers did not lose this past Sunday but instead they tied with the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Jordan Love and the offense decided to score 40 points as Love and running back Josh Jacobs combined for multiple scores but there was arguably more to be desired with the Packers defense. The defensive side let up over 300 yards passing this time from opposing quarterback Dak Presscott and even Micah Parsons was contained. Micah not finishing the game with at least one sack against his former team was surprising to me as this was clearly “America’s Game of The Week. For the Packers, keeping them this high for me is manageable but if they continue to have these way too close contests with teams all the way close in the 30’s of my rankings, it will be a more disappointing year than we had imagined for the pack.

6. Lions: Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon Ra St Brown is simply a touchdown and scoring machine. He finished the day against the Browns with two touchdowns and I thought Jared Goff and the Lions played one of the league’s best defenses well. Luckily the Lions still contain one of the top offenses in the league and they made it look simply easy against Cleveland. Dan Campbell gets his third win of the season as the Lions improve to 3-1 through the first four weeks, and this might be one of the most surprising teams so far this season. How long can they keep this up however? We will see as they have to travel to Cincinnati for a matchup against the Bengals.

7. Bucs: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got handed their first loss of the season by the Superbowl defending champs in the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Baker Mayfield and the offense could not get it going at all in the first half and they suffered from it. Rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka I will add however had another very strong day with a beautiful 77 yard touchdown catch and he continues to show why he may potentially be an offensive rookie of the year finalist. Bucky Irving and co. were still in the mix as well as they tried completing their comeback but the Eagles defensive line proved still they were dominant and helped propel them towards a win. For the Bucs and head coach Todd Bowles it’s a loss I got wrong but I still see them as a top 10 team.

8. Seahawks: Seattle keeps their early streak alive as they caught their third win of the season kicking off week 4 of the 2025 NFL season with a divisional win over the Arizona Cardinals. On Thursday night it was another strong outing from Quarterback Sam Darnold as he threw for over 200 yards and a score, but the story as well was how close the game became late. Arizona fought back to make it close but nonetheless the hawks still came up with the win and in this close and tight NFC west division so far, they will need those important divisional wins. They currently stand tied with the Rams and 49ers at 3-1 and their division will certainly be a tough one this year. Regardless I still see the Seahawks as a quality team.

9. Broncos: After dropping the previous game to the Colts, the Broncos came up big in the second game of the Monday night football double header against the Cincinnati Bengals. Quarterback Bo Nix bounced back this week as he threw for two scores and the Broncos offense as a whole combined for 28 points on the board against the Bengals, who were without Joe Burrow and other important pieces like Shemar Stewart. Sean Payton and the Broncos seek to keep climbing the AFC west as the Chargers earned their first loss of the season and the Chiefs are picking up their lost pieces of their injured WR core. Though a matchup against the Eagles this week will be a test for this team and its defense.

10. Steelers: Seeing Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers sitting at 3-1 is not something everyone had on their bingo card but it is here. The Steelers defense in Dublin came crashing to the line of scrimmage as they sacked opposing quarterback Carson Wentz a whopping six times. Running back Kenneth Gainwell as well had a huge day running in for 2 touchdowns as he helped the Steelers with their dominance on Sunday morning. Aaron Rodgers seems to be clicking with this offense containing also new star wide receiver D.K Metcalf as their connection has been strong. For the defensive side of the ball, Jalen Ramsey so far this season has looked like the old Ramsey we all know and love. The Steelers now travel back to the states, after their narrow victory they face the worst team on this week’s list…their divisional woe the Cleveland Browns. With both Quarterback Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jakcson.

11. Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs came up with their second win of the season this past Sunday as they had the Baltimore Ravens in town. Opposing quarterback Lamar Jackson left the game in the third quarter due to a hamstring injury but by that point, the Chiefs had already been up 20-7. Obviously it is a huge loss for Baltimore but we have to look at the positives in the Chiefs perspective of things for my 11th ranking here. Chiefs wide receiver returns including Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy, clearly were the main focus point coming into this game and also gave Mahomes more weapons on this offense. They returned from injury but the scoring grabs were still from players like Juju Smith Schuster and Hollywood Brown. If the Chiefs can keep up their momentum, it could potentially set up maybe a wild card push. But with teams in the division like the Chargers and the Broncos who are both strong, that might be a difficult task. Next up Jaxonsville.

12. Colts: The Colts had a close matchup against the Los Angeles Rams as the final score being 27-20. Quarterback Daniel Jones looked like his old self throwing two interceptions. Despite that he still threw for 262 yards and a score. This was indeed versus one of the top defenses in the league so no time to panic for me yet for this Colts team who is outperforming what many had thought before the season had started.

13. Jags: Trevor Lawrence and this Jaguars offense did not have the most outstanding day you will ever see but they definitely got the job done. Trever Lawrence threw for a score and Travis Etienne continued his streak of good play as he got in the endzone as well. This defense is in the middle of the pack on espn’s stat leader list and 13 feels right for me…for now. The Jaguars have Patrick Mahomes and company next this week and it will certainly be a wakeup call for them in my humble opinion. Get Travis Hunter and this defense playing like this again next week and they may stay this high on the rankings. Taking away the ball 4 times in a game makes it very likely for the win.

14. Ravens: Lamar Jackson being out for the next couple weeks most likely is simply a huge blow to this offense and to this team’s identity. The offense did not get it going on at all and they looked completely lost. Their defense seems to be back at square one as they have a multitude of injuries. I really hope that Cooper Rush can keep this offense somewhat afloat but with the situation like the Bengals losing Joe Burrow, a lot of teams lose their identity with just the quarterback out. Not saying Cooper Rush is not capable at all but we may see a similar fall like the Bengals considering the Ravens have one of the better defenses in the league with the Texans coming to town.

15. 49ers: The newest news out of this game now is that after the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Quarterback Brock Purdy and receiver Ricky Pearsall are in the injury report once again. Meaning that backup Mac Jones could start again. The thing is, the 49ers have not lost yet with Mac Jones at the helm but I still think this 49ers team has left to prove that they belong in a higher tier of teams. Their team is too unhealthy for me and with not that much fire power, I see this as not good news following the loss and losing your Star quarterback to injury again.

16. Cardinals: Arizona made it interesting following the Seahawks taking an early lead against them on Thursday night football. Clearly we saw the injury previously with running back James Connor and unfortunately this time it is running back Trey Benson, who many had succeeded in Connor’s absence. He was shut down in the game and was not a huge factor, though Kyler and Murray almost completed their comeback. I see the Arizona Cardinals bouncing back this week as they had a while to prepare against rookie Quarterback and first overall pick Cam Ward from the Tennessee Titans.

19. Patriots: This past weekend the Patriots dismantled the Carolina Panthers with a 42–13 victory. Quarterback Drake Maye threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns, leading the offense effectively. Like I have said previously I still think Vrabel is a good coach, and this week will be his first big test of the season as the Patriots decide to travel to Buffalo’s house next.

20. Texans: The Houston Texans earned their first win of the season and their defense shined in this one. They arguably looked like one of the best defenses to come out of this week as cornerback Dereck Stingley and edge rushers like star Will Anderson Jr pressured rookie Cam Ward all game. This first win for Houston is against a divisional opponent, and it was well earned. Wide receiver Nico Collins also finished the day with 79 yards which was not bad at all as he continues to try and get more involved with the underwhelming Texans offense we’ve seen this year. For the Texans continued success I believe their running back room needs to be healthier as Joe Mixon aims to make a return and they need the continued better quarterback play from star C.J Stroud.

21. Commanders: The Commanders defense simply let opposing running back rookie Bijan Robinson have his way in the backfield as he ran for a score and finished with 17 carries. While Jayden Daniels is returning this week thankfully, without him in the last contest their offense was mostly stopped towards the 3rd quarter on. They fought hard in the first half I believe but for the most part it was not a good showing from Washington. Lucky for them also they have their star quarterback Jayden Daniels returning from injury this week. Hopefully Terry Mclaurin can get more involved and we can continue to see more positive showings from running back Jacoby Kroskey Merrit. Next however they have a tough test in a contest versus the Chargers who are also coming off a ugly loss.

22. Giants: The Jaxson Dart era is simply here and I was greatly proved wrong. The first drive for the Giants was priceless as they scored with ease. Winning for the Giants though did have a price as Metlife Stadium again caused another ACL tear. I do wish a speedy recovery for star Malik Nabers and it will be interesting to see how rookie Jaxson Dart continues to pair with other rookie running back Cam Skateboom. As I stated time and time again, for the Giants to save their season they needed to start Dart. The interesting thing about starting him now is that teams do not have a lot of college tape, making it hard to gameplan against. This Sunday they have the Saints who are still looking for their first win of the season with Spencer Rattler. Also I know that place was rocking when Dexter Lawrence caught that interception, always nice to see a big man INT!

23. Vikings: As I stated previously when ranking the Steelers, the Vikings simply did not take care of quarterback Carson Wentz. It is very hard to win football games when you allow that many sacks. In Dublin, wide receiver Jordan Addison also made his return from suspension and it was a respectable outing as the Vikings did indeed have a chance to come back in this game. In the end however, it was all the same themes as on the last drive it was ugly with penalties and terrible pressures on quarterback Carson Wentz. They let Tj Watt and the defense have their way and they paid for it. Quarterback JJ McCarthy aims to make his return soon as the Vikings continue to fall back to earth. However their defense is still very acceptable.

24. Dolphins: Tyreek Hill also suffered another huge injury this week and it looked horrible. Before the injury, Tua looked great with the offense. The Jets could simply not stop the pass or run all night and players like Devon Achane had a huge game. The Dolphins defense got the job done for the most part besides a couple big plays from Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson on the opposing side. Coach Mike McDaniels from Miami gains his first win of the season against a divisional opponent but like the Giants, it came with the price of losing your wide receiver one. For wide receiver Jaylen Waddle however, I am more than confident he feels ready to make the step up, as we have seen what he is made of.

25. Radiers: My wish was granted for Ashton Jeanty getting more involved in this offense as he ran for 3 scores this past weekend. Geno Smith however did still turn the ball over and that theme did crossover into this game against the Bears. It was Tre Tucker’s first game without a touchdown in a while and the Bears pulled with the game late. While the Raiders are not winless, I do not expect them to win much if they continue to have poor gameplans and poor play from quarterback Geno Smith.

26. Cowboys: The Cowboys either did not end up with a win or loss but for me it is simple. They have the arguably top performing offense as Dak Prescott has had good numbers every game and he is currently top 5 in passing yards a month into the 2025-2026 season even without star receiver Ceedee Lamb due to injury. But the defense has a lot to be desired still and their secondary is just straight up atrocious. Luckily for them, after this tie they can pretty much get a win against a very weak defense from what we’ve seen from the Jets so far this season. Off to Jersey for Dallas this week.

27. Bengals: The Bengals offensive line arguably looked laughable last Sunday and they continue to struggle without quarterback Joe Burrow. This time it’s an ugly loss to the Broncos on Monday night. Jamar Chase was easily locked down again and nobody else on offense could get it going. They managed to not even get in the end zone also! Seems the only person who can save them is trading for a different quarterback or just riding the season until Joe Burrow aims to return in December/January

28. Panthers: The Panthers also came down to earth as they let the Patriots score 42 points on them. Christian Gonzalez had his way with Rookie Tetairoa McMilan as he held him to 4 receptions. For this contest the offense could not get going after they took the win over the Falcons the previous week. I thought Bryce Young still did not look terrible but for them this week coming up it is the Dolphins.

29. Saints: Spencer Rattler continues to look serviceable for the most part considering they faced one of the league’s better defenses in the Buffalo Bills. Besides a turnover I thought the quarterback did well to keep them in the game. At halftime especially it was a closer matchup than we had thought. There is still a lot of work that Kellen Moore needs to do but this week they come off more positives than usual with decent play from both sides of the ball.

30. Titans: The Titans continue to not protect quarterback Cam Ward and it cost them again this last Sunday against a divisional opponent in the Texans. Cam Ward voiced his frustrations after the game and it seems like more growing pains are on the way. It’s surprising to me due to the good pieces on offense still like Calvin Ridley and running back Tony Pollard. The offensive line simply needs to step it up.

31. Jets: The Jets continued to shoot themselves in the foot and honestly it is hard for me even to write about how poor the team continues to execute on defense. The offense for the most part is not the issue for me as quarterback Justin Fields continues to excel despite some mistakes but what can you do? The connection between him and Garrett Wilson still looks strong but there is still much to be desired from this team when it comes to their execution. These penalties need to stop as well if they want a chance of winning. Aaron Glenn has not done what he had promised so far and that is fixing the small things. I find it hard to believe that he would be the first 0-5 Jets head coach in their history but this weekend coming up they travel back to metlife to face the Cowboys to prevent that new record. Same Old Jets.

32. Browns: Yes, the Browns defense is obviously not totally the issue as they rank high when it comes to the first month of the season. For me it was how laughable Joe Flacco’s quarterback play was and they recently announced that they would be starting rookie Quarterback Dillon Gabriel this week against the Vikings. I expect the rookie to have some growing pains against a good Vikings defense as he faces them this week. For me I want Shedeur Sanders at the helm, but hey that’s just me. Hopefully Sanders as well will get his shot soon.
