Week 14 opened us up with our glorious turkey football and all 3 games had major implications on who was to take the top spot in some of these divisions. First we had the Green Bay Packers led by quarterback Jordan Love spoiling the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving in Detroit that I might add, then following the ultimate Thanksgiving quarterback duel between Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes. To finish up Thursday finally, the Cincinnati Bengals had Joe Burrow their star quarterback not only return from injury but get the upset win over the Baltimore Ravens! There were a lot of star quarterbacks to return also during Sunday’s games but this week was also full of pure chaos as we had probably the most upsets we have seen thus far.
The best part of this list still is that it will be refreshed so if you do not like where your team is placed they will probably end up higher on this list at some point during the season. I tried my best to not put teams that had a bye that high on the list versus teams that won, I wish everyone a continued great 2025-2026 NFL season. Happy Football once again!
1. Patriots: The New England Patriots reach 10 straight wins and I should honestly apologise to them for placing them at #2 the last time we spoke about my top #32 teams in the NFL. Nonetheless they have been the best team in the AFC for me for the past couple of weeks easily as Drake Maye continues to lead this squad victory after victory. Mike Vrabels coaching style has already developed culture throughout the building and it shows throughout all three aspects of the game with offense, defense, and special teams. It’s the 10th win in a row for #10 and I don’t see them stopping anytime soon with them having one of the easier schedules left in the league. Buffalo is going to have a tough time catching up.
2. Seahawks: The Seattle Seahawks absolutely dominated the Minnesota Vikings at home this past Sunday. It’s funny to think that maybe 10 years ago this would have been a matchup between former Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and former Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson but here we are in 2025 and it’s Sammy D and Max Brosmer. The Seattle defense managed to steal the show with secondary star Ernest Jones snagging multiple interceptions off the QB. It was the first shutout victory for the Seahawks since 10 years ago with the legion of boom and it was a much needed victory for the Hawks. Their defense continues to get better each and every week, I would just like to see more consistency from their team overall and this team is built to go very, very far. All of this and Jalen Milroe is still on this roster! This is how you build teams. Next!
3. Rams: The Los Angeles Rams absolutely had the worst case scenario happen to them this past Sunday. Besides having a back and forth game pretty much the whole time with Carolina, surprisingly it was their defense that did not come through at the end of the game. Despite Matthew Stafford throwing multiple touchdowns once again and obviously Devante Adams and Puka Nacua still cooking, it was not enough. Quarterback Matthew Stafford broke the record for the most touchdown passes without an interception…then immediately turns the ball over multiple times and pretty much costs the Rams the game. Onto the next Los Angeles and they have a divisional opponent in the Arizona Cardinals.
4. Broncos: The Denver Broncos had a Sunday night matchup versus the Washington Commanders and it was a much closer matchup than we anticipated. Quarterback Bo Nix continues to improve week after week and this was an insane away victory to propel the Broncos into the #2 seed in the AFC and so far it has been pretty well deserved. The Quarterback play like I have said has been more than solid with the certain angle Nix gets on some of these balls but obviously the highlight of this team is its coaching and the stellar defense that has been lights out pretty much all season. It is easy to see the Broncos make a push with a weak AFC this year but Bo Nix will need to keep continuing to improve for me to keep the Broncos this high at #4.
5. Bears: Well ladies and gentleman the Chicago Bears are officially the number one team in the NFC and quarterback Caleb Williams is still on pace for a more than stellar season. New head coach Ben Johnson has given new life to this team thus far and this defense like I have said again has come through these past couple weeks and I am impressed from what I have seen from the run game as well with Kyle Monangai especially. The New Jersey native has been making a difference with also other running back De’Andre Swift getting in the endzone against the Eagles.This game was by no means pretty and it was not the most entertaining watch but the Chicago Bears got the job done and are number one not only in the NFC but the NFC North. They will have to play the Green Bay Packers 2 times in the next couple of weeks but I expect those games to be a battle to the end no matter in Lambeau or Soldier field.
6. Eagles: The Philadelphia Eagles as I had just mentioned with the Bears game had one of the most boring games of the season. Jalen Hurts still moved the ball efficiently throwing for over 200 yards and two scores but there were too many empty drives for me. A.J Brown also continues to get fed the ball a little more with each week after it had been apparent he was not getting the ball enough. Still have not had a touchdown from Saquon in quite some time so the theme of getting him more involved stays the same for me. Next week for the Eagles to try and bounce back they get the Chargers on Monday night football.
7. Colts: Daniel Jones is clearly not playing healthy with his fibula injury and it might have been a super important factor in last Sunday’s divisional matchup against the Houston Texans. The Colts do in fact have a negative record when running back Jonathan Taylor does not have a touchdown and the Houston Texans did just that in stopping him from reaching the endzone. Despite a positive day of rushing for the running back room, the defense could not get off the field towards the end of the game. Efforts from rookie tight end Tyler Warren however made this a super close contest. For me the Colts need to clinch their playoff berth before it’s too late and Daniel Jones needs to make sure he takes care of the football but more importantly his body through these next couple of weeks.
8. Packers: The Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and clearly everyone on offense got involved. It was a great showing from quarterback Jordan Love and almost every wide receiver got into the endzone. Everyone except Josh Jacobs it seemed like but regardless a win is a win. Micah Parsons also obviously continues to eat in this defensive scheme and the Packers gain a huge road victory in solidifying their chances of winning the NFC North. Unfortunately for the Packers they have a gauntlet of divisional games coming up with the #1 team in the NFC the Chicago Bears. Luckily for them I think they defend home field at Lambeau. Or is there an upset brewing?
9. Lions: Keeping the theme of the NFC North teams it is wild that three of them are in my top ten. I am honestly surprised that the Lions had a harder time defending home turf and especially against a divisional opponent, but it seems to me that the Lions losing and Thanksgiving go together pretty well. Jared Goff and the offense still had an outstanding day moving the ball but so did the Packers. Next week for the Detroit Lions they start us off in week 14 facing off against the Dallas Cowboys at home. It will be a close contest between the two and it would be crazy if the Cowboys pulled off the upset but I think the Lions are mad and Dan Campbell is going to make sure his boys lock in.
10. 49ers: The 49ers barely squeak into the top 10 this week due to their offense still being efficient against one of the league’s best defenses. Brock Purdy to me is still playing injured or a little banged up and Myles Garrett on the opposing side managed to get to the quarterback as he does. It was a big day catching the ball from wide receiver Juan Jennings and running back Christian McCaffrey managed to find his way into the endzone once again. It was a good away victory for the 9ers but they are not off my hook just yet for the top 10 because also it seemed that it was a coaching mismatch between Kyle Shanihan and Kevin Stefanski.
11. Bills: Buffalo has managed to rack up some wins after some confusing couple weeks of football that we have had from them but they got the job done versus Pittsburgh. James Cook had a marvelous day rushing the ball with over 140 yards from scrimmage! The big bad Steelers defense seemed like no match for the Bills offense and it clicked like we normally expected it to. The defense also came crashing at the line of scrimmage getting to opposing quarterback Aaron Rodgers and that was the recipe for the Bills victory this past Sunday. Josh Allen is nowhere near his MVP form from last year but the Bills look to keep climbing atop the AFC and AFC East.
12. Bucs: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a much needed home victory versus the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday and this was a more fluent Bucs offense that we have seen compared to weeks past. Bucky Irving made his first return finally as he was back in the lineup and of course he also managed to find a way to score. It was a closer contest with the Arizona Cardinals as they have played teams close as it seems every other week but with the help of the defense as well creating turnovers, it was easier for Tampa to pull away with the victory.
13. Chargers: Los Angeles found themselves in a weird situation when the game started with star quarterback Justin Herbert leaving the game with a finger injury and luckily for them it was on his non throwing hand. Backup quarterback Trey Lance got the nod for a few plays but the finger was taped up for Herbert and he just kept on playing. It was an easier contest for the Chargers as they played a super weak opponent in the Las Vegas Raiders who have a terrible offensive line and it seems that they have not been able to get the run game going at all. With the Chargers it was the exact opposite after Vidal had over 130 rushing yards for the day. Luckily also rookie Omarion Hampton should be returning from the injured reserve soon enough. Things are still looking bright for Los Angeles. I just need to stay healthy.
14. Jaguars: The Jaguars took their turn on beating the easiest team to face in the league when they beat the Tennessee Titans this past weekend. It was a super strong day for moving the rock from Trevor Lawrence and this offense, Liam Coen and his squad should be proud of what they have accomplished thus far. Though with Houston slowly catching up, could this start to shape up kind of like the NFC North where 3 teams are fighting for a playoff spot?
15. Panthers: The Carolina Panthers shocked America when they took down the Los Angeles Rams at home and it was a stellar game from both sides of the ball. It was a hard fought battle throughout the whole game but thanks to rookie Ted McMillians touchdown reception and Bryce Young’s emergence once again, the Panthers came away with another signature victory. Forcing turnovers is what really iced the game towards the end and the game ball should straight up go to the entire defense and also Mike Jackson who made the game sealing interception.
16. Cowboys: The Dallas Cowboys faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving and boy was it cinema. Dak Prescott and his offense looked electric once again scoring over 30 points taking down Patrick Mahomes. This was also not to take away at all from the defense as it has been majorly improved with acquiring Quinnen Williams combined with edge rusher Kenny Klark. Javonte Williams still ran the rock well and with this offensive line as well, Dallas could very well find themselves sneaking into the playoffs. However it would take a combination of things on top of a strong NFC this year.
17. Texans: Houston took down their huge rival opponent in the Indianapolis Colts last week and it was a fine upset. Will Anderson Jr. and this defense just keeps on going and going getting important stop after important stop. Even though Joe Mixon has not gotten much spotlight due to being out from injury, Nick Chubb and Woody Marks have been a positive spark for this offense. C.J Stroud returning also getting his first home victory since a couple weeks was huge for Houston and I also like their chances sneaking into the playoffs. For Houston compared to Dallas it will be a little easier considering the AFC is much easier.
18. Ravens: Lamar Jackson absolutely stunk the bed against the divisional rival Bengals as he failed to throw a touchdown pass. The Ravens opened up the game running the ball strong with running back Derrick Henry and he found the endzone early which we all should have expected due to a weak Bengals defensive line. What kept me scratching my head is why they did not keep up that run game with Henry and this has been an occurring theme I’ve had with this team for so long. The Ravens get a chance to bounce back against the Steelers which will most likely be without starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
19. Steelers: It’s safe to say that the Steelers still have a lot to figure out. Head Coach Mike Tomlin has a risk to break his record of not having a single losing season as Steelers head coach but we have all been speculating this for years. The Steelers keep on finding ways to disappoint and this year seems no different. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down aggravating his hand/wrist injury and it was not a pretty sight. Goes to show that with one bad hit with a quarterback like this and all heck could break loose. Jets fans know that song all too well. The other problem with this team is the lack of defensive power they had claimed to have had. This defense has been anything but blockbuster and they need to snap out of it. I am confident in Mason Rudolph while he is no scrub at backup, but now it just leaves the AFC North more up for grabs for the Ravens and Bengals.
20. Chiefs: The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in unfamiliar territory as they took their second loss in a row this past turkey day. As I mentioned it was a quarterback duel for the ages with Patrick Mahomes doing his best to keep the Chiefs in the game but after costly penalties which has been another similar theme for this team, eventually cost them the game. The penalties and the defense needs to stay off the field if the Chiefs want to have a chance at sneaking into the playoff picture once again. Will the inevitable happen or will we see the demise?
21. Bengals: Cincinnati has the chance to potentially split with their divisional rival here and we may not have said that months ago. It was Joe Burrow’s first game back as I had mentioned and it was a signature Thanksgiving victory for the cats. This defense played their best game all season not allowing any throwing touchdowns from opposing quarterback Lamar Jackson and Jamar Chase also had a strong contest. Chase Brown continues to work in this run game but the Bengals have a very long road ahead if they want to win the division let alone make the playoffs. Lucky for them however, it may seem that Aaron Rodgers days being healthy might be numbered. We shall see.
22. Dolphins: The Dolphins had a super close contest with the New Orleans Saints but gained their third win in a row. Mike McDaniels expressed how proud he was in the locker room after the game calling his team winners. Though it may seem like New England is clearly the top team in this super weak AFC east division, Miami has been able to rack up a couple wins here. Could they somewhat keep their playoff hopes alive and beat the Jets this week? Mathematically they are basically already done with a lot more things needed to happen for that to occur but phins fans can wish right?
23. Falcons: It seems like another disastrous season for the Falcons as they cannot even beat the New York Jets. Every week this team gets sold out by their bad coaching and it is honestly hurtful to watch sometimes. Bijan Robinson had over 100 yards rushing the ball and the Falcons still managed to find a way to lose. They also gave the Jets the ball twice with under 2 minutes left in the game and that was simply inaccessible. Kirk Cousins should have stayed in Minnesota a long time ago and it would have been great because it seems like they are going to be looking for a quarterback themselves once again.
24. Giants: The New York Giants completed our week 13 matchups with having the Monday Night contest against the New England Patriots and it was pretty much a lost fight from the start considering they were not in their home stadium and had to face the hottest team in football. Nonetheless the interim Head Coach Mike Kafka has done a pretty good job so far and rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart had a solid game throwing and running the ball despite it being his first game back from injury.
25. Vikings: Max Brosmeier threw four interceptions and that is an easy recipe for disaster. There is honestly not much to say about this team right now as they keep losing week after week and for the same exact reasons. Very poor quarterback play and the turnovers. They got shutout by Seattle and being away did not help them out at all. Clearly. Back to the drawing board for the quarterback position already possibly for the Vikings. Or is it too early to pull the plug on McCarthy?
26. Cardinals: The Cardinals keep playing close contests like I keep expressing but close is not enough. This team is still pretty boring to watch and yes there is not much to be expected from this team with a new Head Coach but look at teams like the Jaguars and the Patriots. Does not seem to be stopping them whatsoever. Another thing is too Jacoby Brissett obviously has been playing more than serviceable and has given this team a chance almost every week. Which is why I have them upsetting the Rams at home with a divisional opponent visiting their house this week. BOOM!
27. Jets: The Jets gained their third victory of the season and the offense looked a lot better than what it did recently. The receivers got the ball and John Meitche II with company had a nice day moving the chains. The New York Jets still have little to none playoff hopes but at this point they have won more games in the month of November than the Eagles and the Chiefs. Who would have thought! I could potentially see them spoiling their divisional rivals party as well this well as they will play the Dolphins at Metlife. I just wish Justin Fields was starting still.
28. Browns: While the scoreboard reflected what it did I am still proud of how the Browns special teams and defense played. It was a battle to the end for the most part against the 49ers but the offense simply could not keep up. It was another solid game from rookie Shedeur Sanders but it was another game with another interception. Thankfully Sanders is getting the nod again next week as it will be an interesting matchup against other rookie quarterback Cam Ward who was the number one pick in last year’s draft. I got the Browns this week do you? They are home and I am expecting a bounce back game. I just wish this play calling was a little better.
29. Commanders: The Commanders and Broncos faced off in a super super close contest this past week and it was a pleasant surprise. MArcus Mariota the veteran quarterback used his legs to give Washington a shot and they managed to force overtime versus one of the league’s best defenses. The Denver defense is so fast is what makes them so good but as I just mentioned with Mariotaas speed paired along with the Commanders defense coming up as well. It was a great showing from them. I am just not ready to move them up much at all considering where their season is at. Rack up a couple more wins and that can obviously change.
30. Saints: Is there anything really that new to say about the New Orleans Saints? Despite having a close contest with the Miami Dolphins and almost getting an onside kick return at the end of the game, it is easy to see New Orleans with another top pick in this year’s draft. For me they are a lock in the bottom 3 and it will be interesting to see what they do with their draft selection as the offseason slowly approaches us. In my opinion rookie Tyler Shough is just not the answer for this team. Put Rattler back in even!
31. Raiders: The Las Vegas Raiders continue to have their offensive line perform poorly and it is the same recipe for them every week. Geno Smith throws an intersection, the run game is weak, and then they lose the game on a failed 4th down conversion. Pete Carroll simply has not been coaching well and so far that experiment has failed. Which is a shame because I love the coach but it has not looked good. Next!
32. Titans: I truly feel bad for rookie quarterback Cam Ward as it is easy to see his frustration weekly on the sidelines. He has little to no help out there in his receiving room and the defense can only be on the field for so long. Next week the Titans travel to Cleveland in what will be a matchup for the ages with Rookie facing Rookie with Cam Ward facing Shedeur Sanders.
