We need to talk about the historic moment when Mark Cuban executed the greatest trade in Mavericks history:
He traded Nico Harrison…
For NOTHING…
And somehow WON the trade by 40.
Let’s be honest — the Nico Harrison era felt like watching someone play NBA 2K with their controller unplugged.
He sat there pressing buttons, smiling, pretending something was happening while the franchise quietly melted like a Texas summer ice cream.
Every trade proposal looked like:
- “Can I get a superstar for two expired contracts and a motivational speech?”
- “Does this rookie have knees? Eh, who cares.”
- “Chemistry? Never heard of it.”
Even the trade machine got tired of him. At one point it literally said,
“Nico, buddy… stop.”
Sources tell me the final straw was a deal so catastrophically stupid, so unbelievably brain-cell-evaporating, that when Cuban saw it, he whispered:
“I’d rather invest in MySpace.”
Reports say Cuban’s WiFi dropped mid-rant. He yelled so hard the Shark Tank set shook in LA. Kevin O’Leary felt a disturbance in the force.
Even Luka looked at the proposal like,
“Bro… this is felony-level dumb.”
Cuban didn’t just fire Nico.
He fired him with Dallas BBQ levels of intensity.
He kicked open the office door like he was reenacting “300” and screamed:
“NICO! I’M NOT TRADING LUKA!
I’M TRADING YOU… TO UNEMPLOYMENT!”
Security didn’t even have to escort him.
Nico was already halfway to the parking lot like someone hit fast-forward.
Jason Kidd pretended to pray.
Kyrie saged the hallway.
Dirk’s statue shrugged.
It was spiritual.
Immediately outside the arena, Mavs fans were celebrating like someone told them Mark Cuban was paying off their mortgages.

“WE BACK BABY!”
Another fan was seen hugging strangers, shouting:
“NO MORE EXPERIMENTAL TRADES! NO MORE SCIENCE PROJECTS!”
One dude lit a candle like Nico had been exorcised from the building.

“We thank Nico Harrison for his contributions to the organization.”
LIE.
Lie so hard Pinocchio filed a complaint.
The real version should’ve said:
“We thank Nico Harrison for leaving quickly and not touching anything on the way out.”
I, Errol Marks, immediately launched my own investigation — which is just me and Joba yelling into microphones for two hours.
Here’s what we concluded:
- Nico drafted like he was doing a word search.
- Nico traded like he owed someone money.
- Nico managed the roster like it was a fantasy league he forgot existed.
- Nico had the kind of vision you get after staring directly into the sun.
We determined he wasn’t just bad…
He was performance art bad.
Like a modern dance piece called “Confusion in Three Acts.”
Someday, years from now, kids will ask:
“Dad, who was Nico Harrison?”
And their fathers will take a deep breath, stare into the distance, and whisper:
“A lesson… son.
A lesson in what happens when you hire a GM whose strategies came from motivational fortune cookies.”
He didn’t just fumble the bag.
He dropped the bag, fell on the bag, rolled off a cliff with the bag, and then blamed the bag.
In the sacred hall of GM disasters:
- Billy King still stands as emperor
- Vlade Divac has an entire wing
- Phil Jackson hovers in the sage-scented triangle room
- Rob Pelinka writes fictional scripts in the back
But Nico Harrison?
He gets the VIP room with velvet ropes and a plaque that reads:
“Traded Himself Out of a Job — 2025”
The Mavericks won a championship…
The championship of getting rid of him.
And Mark Cuban?
He completed the greatest trade in NBA history:
Nico Harrison → Nowhere
Return: Peace, sanity, draft picks, hope.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
