The LeBron James Free Agency Saga has officially entered the “we’re making documentaries about text messages” phase.
Seriously… we’ve gone from breaking down game film to breaking down Andre Iguodala’s phone conversations.
On Friday, Iguodala told ESPN that LeBron’s reported interest in joining the Golden State Warriors is actually another compliment to Steph Curry’s greatness. Apparently, if LeBron wants to play with Steph, it proves just how incredible Steph really is.
Okay… can we all relax for a second?
We’re acting like LeBron is about to climb Mount Everest just to hand Steph Curry a friendship bracelet.
The media has officially lost its mind.
Every day there’s a new report.
LeBron likes Golden State.
LeBron likes Philadelphia.
LeBron likes Cleveland.
LeBron likes Miami.
Tomorrow it’ll be, “Sources say LeBron is intrigued by the Savannah Bananas, the New York Yankees and Venus.”
Yes… the planet.
At this point, I wouldn’t rule anything out.
Iguodala even compared the situation to Kevin Durant joining the Warriors in 2016, saying LeBron wanting to play with Steph just shows how special Curry really is.
Maybe.
Or maybe…
LeBron is 41 years old.
Maybe he’d like to play with someone who shoots from another zip code so he doesn’t have to carry the offense every possession.
Crazy thought, I know.
The funniest part is that everyone keeps trying to make this some kind of Shakespearean basketball romance.
“Steph acknowledges the allure of playing with LeBron.”
“Iguodala says it enhances Steph’s legacy.”
“Rich Paul sent voice notes.”
What’s next?
LeBron and Steph exchanging friendship necklaces at center court before opening night?
Enough already.
I’m so tired of “The Decision” becoming “The Discussion.”
Every single hour it’s another insider telling us absolutely nothing.
“LeBron is thinking.”
Congratulations.
So is everyone else.
Wake me up when he’s actually holding up a jersey.
Until then, this is sports reality television.
And let’s be honest…
I don’t care where LeBron plays anymore.
Golden State.
Philadelphia.
Cleveland.
Miami.
Mars.
Venus.
If he signs with the Moon, ESPN will still run a six-hour special called Gravity: The Decision.
Here’s the reality.
LeBron is one of the greatest players we’ve ever seen. Steph Curry changed basketball forever. If they actually play together, it’ll be incredible basketball.
But until there’s a signature on a contract…
We’re debating rumors about rumors from people talking about other people texting other people.
That’s not NBA news.
That’s NBA fan fiction.
When LeBron finally decides, I’ll talk about it.
Until then, I’m not spending another week pretending every anonymous source is the basketball version of Nostradamus.

I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do.
