The New York Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 113-102 in Game 1…
And if you only saw the score, you’re thinking:
“Nice, solid win.”
If you actually WATCHED the game?
You aged 7 years, checked WebMD twice, and texted your group chat:
“Why are they like this???”
Game 1: Knicks Start Like Avengers… Then Turn Into Background Extras
Let’s talk about Jalen Brunson.
This man came out in the first quarter like:
- Prime Michael Jordan
- Your landlord when rent is late
- A man who had somewhere to be at halftime
19 points in the FIRST QUARTER.
MSG was shaking. Hawks were confused. Life was good.
Then after that?
Brunson said:
“Alright I did my part. Y’all finish this group project.”
Finished with 28 points, 7 assists… but the drop-off was so dramatic you’d think he got a text mid-game like:
“Yo dinner’s ready.”

Karl-Anthony Towns: The Quiet Kid Who Actually Does the Work
Karl-Anthony Towns had:
- 25 points
- 8 rebounds
- 3 blocks
No drama. No chaos. Just straight cooking.
Meanwhile Knicks fans are like:
“Wait… why aren’t we giving him the ball EVERY possession???”
Josh Hart Out Here Rebounding Like Rent Is Due
Josh Hart:
- 11 points
- 14 rebounds
14 rebounds??
He was grabbing boards like somebody told him they were limited edition sneakers.
At one point I’m pretty sure he rebounded a shot from LAST SEASON.
OG Anunoby: Casual Buckets, Maximum Annoyance
OG Anunoby dropped 18 points like it was nothing.
No emotion. No celebration.
Just:
“Here’s 18. I’m going back to defense now.”

Atlanta Hawks: “Oh You Thought This Was Over?”
The Hawks did NOT go away.
- CJ McCollum: 26 points
Talking trash like he already won the series - Jalen Johnson: 23 points
Moving like a problem nobody ordered - Onyeka Okongwu: 19 points
Living in the paint rent-free
Atlanta basically said:
“We’re not better than you… but we WILL make this uncomfortable.”
The Part Where Knicks Fans Started Stress Eating
Knicks go up early…
And instead of stepping on Atlanta’s neck, they said:
“Let’s see what happens if we stop playing basketball for a little bit.”
Atlanta goes on runs.
Momentum shifts.
MSG gets quiet.
Fans start doing math like:
“Okay if they hit 3 more threes and we forget how to score… we’re in trouble.”
Third Quarter: Knicks Remember They’re Good
Finally — FINALLY — the Knicks woke up.
- Locked in defensively
- Held Atlanta to 19 points
- Went on the run that actually won the game
Basically:
“Oh yeah… we’re the better team. My bad.”
Most Knicks Thing Ever
Win by 11…
…but make it feel like:
- A 1-possession game
- A playoff elimination game
- And a therapy session all at once
That’s Knicks basketball.
You don’t WATCH the Knicks.
You SURVIVE them.
Game 2 Adjustments (Or How Not to Ruin Our Lives Again)
1. Brunson… Please Stay in “Destroy Mode”
We don’t need:
- 19 points in 1 quarter
- Then a vacation
We need:
- 30 points
- Full game
- No disappearing acts
2. FEED KAT LIKE IT’S THANKSGIVING
Karl-Anthony Towns was cooking quietly.
Game 2?
Make it loud. Make it disrespectful.
3. Stop Letting CJ McCollum Feel Himself
He dropped 26 AND is talking trash??
No.
That needs to end immediately.
4. Play 48 Minutes… Not 24 With Vibes
You can’t just:
- Show up
- Leave
- Come back later
This ain’t a part-time job.
The Real Problem
The Hawks are walking into Game 2 like:
“Yeah… we can beat them.”
And honestly?
If the Knicks play like THAT again?
They might be right.
Yes — the Knicks won.
But this game felt like:
- A rollercoaster
- With no seatbelt
- Operated by someone who just learned the controls
Game 2 determines EVERYTHING:
- 2-0 → Knicks in control
- 1-1 → chaos, panic, and Twitter arguments
And Knicks fans?
You already know what’s coming:
We’re gonna:
- Watch
- Yell
- Celebrate
- Complain
- And question our life choices
All in the same night.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
