Tuesday, April 28th, 2026—Madison Square Garden was hotter than a subway in July, and the Knicks treated Atlanta like they were the side of beef at a BBQ. Game 5? Not a game. A 126–97 public humiliation seminar. Hawks fans, you might still be checking your reflection to see if your dignity left the arena before you did.
Jalen Brunson came out like a man possessed—39 points, 8 assists, shooting like he’d been waiting all year to turn Atlanta defenders into human scarecrows. Every time he dribbled, CJ McCollum, J. Johnson, N. Alexander-Walker, Kuminga, and Okongwu looked like they accidentally wandered into a haunted house. No map, no hope, just screaming.
Karl-Anthony Towns was doing K.A.T. things—16 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists—basically turning the paint into his personal water park. Okongwu and Johnson tried to stop him, but it was like trying to block a freight train with a pool noodle. Meanwhile, OG Anunoby tossed up 17 points, 10 rebounds, and somehow made Atlanta guards feel like they’d just been ghosted by their own careers.
And don’t even get me started on the bench. Jeremy Sochan went perfect 4-of-4, J. Clarkson added 9 points, and the rest of the Knicks’ bench ran the court like caffeinated toddlers with vendettas. Hawks mistakes were like free samples at a candy store—MSG fans couldn’t get enough.
By the final buzzer, the scoreboard didn’t just tell a story—it screamed: Knicks 126, Hawks 97. Atlanta wasn’t just losing; they were performing a one-act tragedy titled “How Not to Play Playoffs”.
Game 6 in Atlanta: Closing the Hawks’ Chapter
The Knicks are taking their circus south, and here’s why Game 6 must not become Game 7:
- Hawks Stars Can Explode – CJ McCollum, Okongwu, J. Johnson, Alexander-Walker, Kuminga… give any of them a Game 7, and Atlanta might actually win a game without trying. Or at least pretend to.
- Momentum Is Everything – Game 5 was a clinic. Drag this into a Game 7, and you risk breaking the rhythm of Brunson, Towns, and Anunoby, who are currently hotter than a New York pizza oven.
- Home-Court Energy – Atlanta fans are loud, passionate, and possibly dangerous. Close it out now, or prepare for a Game 7 circus where you’re part of the sideshow.
Knicks Blueprint for Chaos:
- Keep Brunson cooking – Attack the rim, hit threes, and distribute like he’s running a fast-food drive-thru… but every meal is heartbreak for Atlanta.
- Paint Control with K.A.T. and Anunoby – Dominate rebounds, protect the rim, and force Johnson and Okongwu into shots so bad they should be illegal.
- Bench Energy – Replicate MSG’s caffeinated chaos on the road. Every Hawks turnover is a highlight reel. Every hustle play is a reminder that the Knicks don’t care where you play—they own the court.
- Defensive Pressure – Make McCollum, Kuminga, Alexander-Walker, and Johnson regret leaving their living rooms. Every possession should feel like a surprise math test they didn’t study for.
Bottom line: the Knicks aren’t just going to Atlanta—they’re bringing the party, the pressure, and the punchlines. Game 6 isn’t about a win—it’s about finishing the Hawks like a Netflix special you can’t turn off: messy, entertaining, and unforgettable.

I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do.
