This kid has been fighting since the second he stepped into the NFL — honestly, since before that.
Coming out of Wyoming (yes, Wyoming — population: three cows and a gas station), Josh Allen was treated like a science experiment. Scouts said his accuracy would never translate. His mechanics were broken. His shoulder was an issue. Half the league acted like drafting him was basically lighting a first-round pick on fire and hoping it learned how to throw.
And then came the critics. Loud ones.
Jalen Ramsey called him a trash draft pick.
Media analysts laughed.
Twitter had memes ready before his rookie minicamp ended.
Meanwhile, Josh Allen did something that apparently isn’t allowed in the NFL anymore.
He worked.
He changed his throwing motion — in one offseason — something the so-called experts swear can’t be done. He fixed his mechanics. Improved his accuracy every single year. Took every weakness and turned it into a weapon.
But even as he started bulldozing linebackers, throwing frozen ropes across the field, and carrying the Bills on his back like a man dragging groceries in one trip, the respect still didn’t come.
Why?
Because every Josh Allen conversation somehow turned into:
“Yeah, but Patrick Mahomes…”
Mahomes throws a no-look pass? Genius.
Allen throws a touchdown while getting his ribs rearranged? “Eh… system QB.”
Allen goes Superman in the playoffs? “But did he win the Super Bowl?”
Josh Allen has spent his entire career with the goalposts being moved like they’re on Amazon Prime delivery.

Then last year, the league finally had no choice.
NFL MVP.
And even that felt overdue.
But the moment that defines Josh Allen didn’t come with a trophy.
It came after heartbreak.
After that brutal divisional loss to the Broncos — a game where, let’s be honest, the Bills got absolutely hosed by the refs — Josh Allen didn’t hide. He didn’t blame officials. He didn’t throw teammates under the bus.
He did the most old-school, uncomfortable thing imaginable.
He stood there.
He apologized to his teammates.
He apologized to the fans.
And he cried.
In public.
In today’s NFL, where emotions are filtered through PR teams and brand deals, Josh Allen showed something rare.
He cared too much.
You don’t see that anymore.
You don’t see quarterbacks taking losses personally.
You don’t see players crying because they feel like they let an entire city down.
This game is not about money to Josh Allen.
This game is about love.
Love for his teammates.
Love for Buffalo.
Love for the grind.
And that love shows up everywhere — especially when he talks about his wife and how she’s changed him, grounded him, and given him confidence. That’s not scripted. That’s not fake. That’s a man who knows who he is and who he’s playing for.

Josh Allen doesn’t just play quarterback — he drags teams into fights they’re not supposed to win.
He hurdles defenders.
He lowers his shoulder.
He throws lasers into windows that shouldn’t exist.
He plays like every snap might be his last.
And that’s why I’ll say it — and I really don’t care who gets mad.
Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL.
Yes, better than the rest of the so-called elite. Because talent matters — but heart, leadership, accountability, and passion matter more.
When Josh Allen hangs up the cleats, there won’t be another one like him.
You can’t coach this.
You can’t fake this.
You can’t manufacture this.
He took every insult, every joke, every “trash pick” label and turned it into fuel — without losing who he is.
That’s why even if you’re not a Bills fan, you root for Josh Allen.
Because he reminds us what football is supposed to be about.
And that’s why Josh Allen isn’t just an MVP.
He’s the standard.

In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting.
