1. Breece and Braelon are going to be a top 5 running back duo

Just like last preseason’s game, the Jets focused on running the ball with all their running backs. In this game, we got a glimpse of what could possibly be a top 5 running back duo in the NFL. Breece and Braelon got a total of 15 carries and combined for 60 rushing yards. Last game, Breece didn’t see the field too much after playing one drive. However, this game, they made sure he played multiple drives, splitting carries with Braelon Allen. Tanner Engstrand is making sure they both run the ball frequently, similar to how Gibbs and Montogemry were used in Detroit, where he used to coach.

2. Wide receiver room is up for grabs

Since the offseason, the Jets have made sure to add more weapons totheir offense alongside Garrett Wilson. The only proven weapons that could be in the starting offense are Garrett Wilson, Mason Taylor, Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, Josh Reynolds, Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis. With the 53 man roster coming up, the Jets could possibly add or trade some weapons. If the Jets want to make a playoff run, they have to provide as many weapons to Fields as possible. Some players they could possibly trade for are Romeo Doubs, Alec Pierce and Jahan Dotson. If they’re unable to trade for these three wide receivers, they could sign Tyler Boyd, Gabe Davis, and Odell Beckham Jr.

3. Aaron Glenn handling adversity and holding team accountable

Throughout the game, the Jets played sloppy from start to finish. Glenn addressed this at halftime when a reporter asked, “How do you think the Jets played in the first half?” After the game, he made it clear that he was not happy with the Jets performance against the Giants, holding the team accountable. Team drama and lack of accountability is something that the Jets have struggled for years. Last year, Aaron Rodgers was taking shots at his own teammate for not running the right route. After being cut by the Jets, he then went on the Pat McAfee show and called out the Jets for cutting him, creating more drama. It’s good to finally have a coach to hold players accountable for their mistakes, and to make sure there’s no drama happening in and out of the locker room.
