Welcome back to that magical time of year where your bracket lasts about as long as a New Year’s resolution and everybody suddenly becomes a basketball expert… including your barber, your Uber driver, and that one friend who thinks a “pick and roll” is a lunch order.

I studied the bracket you dropped. I argued with it. I stared at it like it owed me money. And now? I’ve corrected its mistakes.

Yes — that includes kicking Duke out and letting UConn run the East.

THE COMMITTEE: EXPLAIN YOURSELF (SLOWLY)

We gotta start here.

Auburn not being in this bracket?
That’s not a snub — that’s a crime documentary waiting to happen.

This feels like the committee picked teams like:

“Hmm… good resume… solid wins… BUT do we feel it?”

Meanwhile Auburn’s at home like:

“WE BEAT WHO?!?”

Make it make sense. I’ll wait.

EAST REGION — “Duke Thought This Was Theirs… UConn Said ‘LOL’”

Headliner: Duke
Actual problem: UConn

Let me keep it real for a second…

👉 I’m a Duke fan.
👉 And it pains me to say this…

…but there are just too many injuries, and in March that’s like bringing a phone on 2% battery with no charger. It might last a little… but you know how this ends.

And let’s be honest for a SECOND…

I love Coach Jon Scheyer… I really do… no I don’t. 😉

…but if Duke gets bounced early, somewhere a group chat is gonna say:

“Yeah… Coach K would’ve found a way.”

😂

Too soon? Probably.
Accurate? Also probably.

So yeah:

  • I love Duke
  • I respect Duke
  • I am emotionally invested in Duke

…but I do not trust Duke in THIS bracket.

Meanwhile, UConn is out here moving like a team that already knows how this story ends.

This region is messy:

  • St. John’s (Red Storm) — if they get hot, they’re dropping 90 like it’s nothing
  • Mid-majors shooting like they’re in a video game
  • Every seed thinking they’re Cinderella

Prediction: UConn survives the chaos. Duke fans (including me) are left saying “if we were healthy…” while also side-eyeing the coaching decisions just a little bit.

SOUTH REGION — “Houston Will Guard You Into Therapy”

Featuring: Houston

You ever try to score on a team and it feels personal?

That’s Houston.

  • You dribble? Pressure
  • You pass? Deflection
  • You shoot? Regret

They defend like:

“Oh you wanted points? That’s cute.”

This region will produce at least one game where both teams forget how offense works.

WEST REGION — “Purdue’s Villain Origin Story Ends Here”

Main character energy: Purdue

We’ve all seen the old Purdue script.

This year? New script.

This team is playing like:

“We remember EVERYTHING.”

  • Size
  • Experience
  • Motivation

That’s a dangerous combo.

The rest of this region is fun… but Purdue is focused.

MIDWEST — “Michigan Will Make This Ugly… And Win Anyway”

Enter: Michigan

This is the region where:

  • The score is low
  • The defense is high
  • And nobody is having fun except Michigan

They don’t beat you flashy.

They beat you slowly… painfully… and effectively.

UPSETS — THEY’RE COMING. ACCEPT IT.

  • A 12-seed will win (don’t argue with March)
  • An 11-seed will make a run (you will pick the wrong one)
  • One top team will fall and ruin your entire bracket

This is not a tournament.

This is organized chaos.

FINAL FOUR

❌ Duke — OUT (it hurts, but it’s real)

✅ UConn — IN (because March is their playground)

  • Houston — defense wins trips to the Final Four
  • UConn — built for this moment
  • Michigan — toughness travels
  • Purdue — revenge tour in full effect

🏆 NATIONAL CHAMPION — I’M STANDING ON THIS

👉 Purdue

No hesitation.
No doubt.

This is the year Purdue cashes in on all that experience and all those past heartbreaks.

  • Your bracket is already in danger
  • Chaos is undefeated
  • And yes… I picked against my own team

That’s how you KNOW this is serious.

Now let’s go win that bracket pool 😤

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.

What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.

Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.

My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
