So… he DID sign with a New York team.
Just… not the one with 27 rings.
Not the one in Queens.
Not even the one in Buffalo.
Nope.
Trevor Bauer is officially a member of the Long Island Ducks… and honestly? This might be the most Long Island plot twist ever.
Because only on Long Island can a former Cy Young winner go from pitching in packed MLB stadiums… to pitching 15 minutes from someone yelling:
“YO BAUER — MY COUSIN STRUCK OUT 12 IN PATCHOGUE LITTLE LEAGUE!”
And I’m here for ALL of it.

From Cy Young to “See You at the Duck Pond”
Let’s rewind this thing.
Not long ago, Bauer was one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball. We’re talking:
- Cy Young winner
- Strikeout machine
- Analytics nerd before it was cool
- The guy who made spin rate sound like rocket science
Then everything stopped.
Allegations surfaced.
The headlines exploded.
The baseball world hit the panic button.
And suddenly — he was out.
Here’s the part that people either forget… or pretend not to hear:
Bauer was never convicted of a crime.
Multiple legal battles ended without criminal charges.
Settlements, disputes, statements — yes.
But no conviction.
And yet… Major League Baseball basically treated him like he vanished into baseball witness protection.
No second chance.
No comeback invite.
No “let’s see what you’ve got.”
Just… silence.
Meanwhile, teams run bullpen games with guys throwing 89 mph and hoping for wind.
But hey — baseball makes sense, right?
And Now… LONG ISLAND
So where does he land?
Not Tokyo (again).
Not Mexico.
Not Independent Ball in the middle of nowhere.
He lands… on Long Island.
Which means:
Trevor Bauer is now pitching within driving distance of bagel debates, LIE traffic, and someone definitely asking him to throw batting practice at their nephew’s travel team.
And I gotta be honest — I love this.
Not just because it’s a wild baseball story…
But because this is content gold.

I’m Not Just Watching… I’m Pulling Up
I’m excited. I’m serious.
I’m looking forward to interacting with Bauer this season.
I want the interview.
I want the sit-down.
I want to talk baseball, controversy, comeback, all of it.
Because whether people like it or not — this is one of the most interesting stories in baseball.
A Cy Young winner…
Trying to pitch his way back…
On Long Island…
In front of fans eating garlic fries and arguing about the Yankees bullpen.
You can’t script this.
The Funniest Part of This Whole Thing
Somewhere… someone said:
“Trevor Bauer signs with a New York team.”
And Yankees fans perked up.
Mets fans leaned forward.
Then they read:
Long Island Ducks.
And collectively went:
“…oh.”
Here’s the real truth:
If Bauer dominates?
MLB teams will notice.
If he shoves every outing?
Phones will ring.
If he’s still got it?
This turns from joke… to comeback story real fast.
And imagine this headline in a few months:
“Former Long Island Duck Trevor Bauer signs MLB deal.”
That’s peak baseball chaos.
Trevor Bauer wanted back in New York…
Baseball gave him Long Island.
And honestly?
That might be the most entertaining outcome possible.
Because now…
A Cy Young winner is pitching in our backyard,
I’m getting ready for an interview,
And Long Island baseball just became must-watch TV.
Welcome to the island, Bauer. Just one rule…
Don’t hit traffic on the LIE —
You might miss your own start.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
