Justin Gaethje beat Ilia Topuria. Period. His hand was raised, the crowd went crazy, and the man walked away with one of the biggest wins of his career.

But apparently… the gloves want their own post-fight interview.

Because now we have a full-blown UFC glove conspiracy!

Ilia Topuria has raised questions about Gaethje’s gloves following their fight, and former UFC fighter Colby Covington has officially entered the conversation.

And when Colby Covington starts talking about a conspiracy theory, you already know this thing is about to get WEIRD.

Forget CSI.

Forget Law & Order.

We need LAW & ORDER: UFC GLOVE UNIT.

DUN DUN!

According to Covington, he saw pictures of Gaethje’s gloves and thought something looked… different.

Covington said:

“It definitely looked like there was something in his glove.”

He specifically pointed to what he believed looked like an off-color yellow area rather than the white tape normally seen on UFC fighters’ hands.

And that’s where the internet immediately did what the internet does best:

LOSE ITS MIND.

One minute we’re talking about an incredible Justin Gaethje victory.

The next minute we’re zooming into pictures of his hands like we’re investigating the JFK assassination.

“ENHANCE THE GLOVE!”

Somebody on social media probably has a 47-minute YouTube video coming out tomorrow titled:

“THE YELLOW TAPE CONSPIRACY: WHAT THE UFC DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW!”

And it will have 19 red circles, 14 arrows and dramatic music playing in the background.

But here’s the important part:

There has been no established evidence presented in the comments above proving that Gaethje illegally tampered with his gloves.

Topuria raised the allegation, and Covington said the images looked unusual to him — but Covington also made it clear that he doesn’t like speculating.

And that’s actually where this story gets interesting.

Because Covington basically said two things at the same time:

“Yeah… that glove looks strange.”

And:

“But I’m not saying the guy cheated.”

That’s basically the MMA version of:

“I’m not starting anything… BUT DID YOU SEE THAT?”

And let’s not completely lose the plot here.

Justin Gaethje was supposed to have a very difficult night.

Topuria came into the fight undefeated and had already established himself as one of the most dangerous knockout artists in the sport.

He had beaten elite competition and entered the fight with a reputation for making people wake up wondering what happened.

Instead, Gaethje survived, competed, and got his hand raised.

That’s the story.

Until the gloves showed up.

Now we’re talking about tape colors like we’re comparing paint samples at Home Depot.

“Is that Eggshell White?”

“No, no, no. That’s definitely suspicious Banana Yellow!”

And this is exactly why a rematch would create enormous interest.

Because now there are TWO fights happening.

The first one happened inside the Octagon.

The second one is happening on the internet.

And the internet is undefeated.

Topuria wants another opportunity.

Covington wants people to keep talking.

Gaethje probably just wants everyone to stop staring at pictures of his hands.

Meanwhile, MMA fans are sitting at home looking at screenshots like forensic scientists.

“Enhance.”

“Zoom in.”

“Rotate 14 degrees.”

“Wait… WAIT… IS THAT YELLOW?!”

But here’s my question:

If there really was something unusual about the glove, where is the evidence?

Because accusations are easy.

Proof is another story.

If the UFC commissions, officials or other responsible authorities determine that everything was properly done, then this entire thing becomes one giant MMA conspiracy theory.

But if something legitimate eventually comes out?

OH BOY.

Then we’ve got ourselves a completely different story.

Until then, I’m not putting Justin Gaethje in the Glove Criminal Hall of Fame.

The man won the fight.

His hand was raised.

And Colby Covington himself admitted he doesn’t want to speculate.

So let’s keep the investigation where it belongs:

On social media, where everybody is suddenly an expert in athletic commissions, hand wrapping, glove construction and forensic photography.

Because apparently in 2026, you don’t just need to win an MMA fight.

You need to pass the National Glove Inspection Committee.

And if there’s a rematch?

Forget the promotional poster.

Forget the staredown.

Forget the press conference.

I want the UFC to open the show with one thing:

“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… TONIGHT’S MAIN EVENT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE GLOVE DEPARTMENT.”

Gaethje vs. Topuria II.

The rematch nobody can stop talking about…

and apparently the gloves are getting their own title fight.
