Joe Burrow didn’t just sound frustrated after Sunday’s loss—he sounded like a man Googling “How to fake a sudden interest in Broadway” and “Is Gotham City a real place?”

When Burrow said he’s “not having fun anymore” in Cincinnati, every Jets fan sat up straighter than Aaron Rodgers on a darkness retreat. Because we’ve heard this song before. The melody? Sad quarterback. Cheap Bengals. Exit stage left.

Sound familiar? It should.
Carson Palmer sang this same tune back in the day—except instead of frustration, Palmer straight-up said, “I’d rather retire and sell insurance than play another down for the Bengals.”

Fast forward 15 years and here we are again. Different quarterback. Same chili. Same problems.

The Cincinnati Bengals treat franchise quarterbacks like lease cars:

• Run them hard
• Ignore the warning lights
• Skip maintenance
• Act shocked when the engine explodes

Joe Burrow has been sacked so many times he should have a Frequent Flyer card at the medical tent. Torn ACL, calf issues, wrist problems—at this point, his injury report reads like a CVS receipt.

And what does Cincinnati do?
They shrug, say “Who Dey,” and draft another receiver while their offensive line blocks like five folding chairs in a windstorm.

Burrow isn’t mad.
He’s tired.

Tired of carrying a franchise that treats protection like a luxury add-on.

“Errol, the Jets ruin quarterbacks.”

That’s true.

1. THE JETS FINALLY HAVE DRAFT CAPITAL

After moving pieces like Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner (yes, it hurt, yes it happened, yes we cried), the Jets suddenly have more picks than a guitar shop.

The Bengals love:

• Picks
• Cheap labor
• The illusion of rebuilding

This is their Super Bowl.

2. THE JETS HAVE AN OFFENSIVE LINE THAT CAN ACTUALLY BLOCK

Read that again slowly.

The Jets—THE JETS—now have a young, up-and-coming offensive line that doesn’t treat the quarterback like a volunteer crash-test dummy.

For Joe Burrow, this would feel like:

• A vacation
• A spa day
• A miracle

Keeping Burrow upright alone would improve his mood by 73%.

3. THE JETS ARE DESPERATE — AND DESPERATION BUILDS STATUES

The Jets would treat Joe Burrow like royalty.

• Billboards
• Endorsements
• A key to the city
• Probably his own bagel

In Cincinnati, Burrow is expected to be Superman.
In New York? He’d be Batman with better PR.

The Jets’ cruelest irony?

They accidentally won too many games.

Those meaningless late-season wins knocked them out of position to draft Mendoza, the next can’t-miss quarterback prospect—because nothing screams Jets football like winning games that ruin your future.

So now what?

You pivot.

You trade.

You go full chaos.

• Raiders – Joe Burrow would last three quarters before becoming a podcast host.
• Vikings – Same issues, colder weather, better accents.
• Steelers – Bengals would rather fold the franchise.
• The Jets?

They offer hope, protection, chaos, and New York attention—the four things Cincinnati has never successfully given a quarterback.

Probably not.

Absolutely.

Because the Bengals have a history of:

• Pushing out franchise QBs
• Acting surprised when they leave
• Pretending it was “mutual”

And the Jets?
The Jets are always one bad decision away from a headline.

Joe Burrow in green would be:

• The boldest move in franchise history
• The funniest outcome possible
• And somehow…very Jets
