Let me paint you a picture.
It’s Game 7 of the Finals. The crowd is going crazy. The stakes? Higher than gas prices. The tension? Thicker than a New York deli sandwich.
And right before the final shot…
a robot ref named “UmpBot 3000” stops the game to say:
“Probability of a double dribble: 87.4%. Reviewing… please stand by.”
Welcome to the future of sports, baby.
AI Is Already in the Game (And It Didn’t Even Warm Up)
We used to think artificial intelligence was something out of The Jetsons. Now it’s basically your assistant, your coach, your stat guy, and soon… your replacement.
Let’s break it down league by league:
Baseball (The First Victim… I Mean Pioneer)
Baseball said, “You know what fans love? Arguing balls and strikes.”
Then immediately got rid of it.
AI-powered umpire systems are already being tested. No more blown calls. No more managers kicking dirt. No more legendary meltdowns.
Cool? Yes.
Fun? Debatable.
NFL
The NFL is using AI for:
- Player tracking (every step, every move, every “how did he drop that?” moment)
- Injury prediction (because apparently hamstrings now send warning emails)
- Play-calling analytics
Basically, coaches are becoming middle managers for algorithms.
NBA
The NBA is deep in AI too:
- Shot probability tracking (“That shot had a 3% chance… and somehow went in”)
- Referee assistance systems
- Fan engagement (AI highlights, custom clips, etc.)
Soon your phone will notify you:
“Errol, based on your personality, you would’ve taken that shot and missed.”
Disrespectful.
NHL
Hockey said, “We move too fast for humans anyway,” and AI said, “Hold my Gatorade.”
- Puck and player tracking (yes, the puck finally has a GPS)
- Real-time analytics
- Broadcast enhancements
Even the puck got smarter. Let that sink in.

AI Is Taking Over Sports Media Too Sorry, Broadcasters…
This one hits close to home.
AI is creeping into broadcasting like that one guy who “just came to watch the game” but somehow ends up on the mic.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Automated highlight reels (faster than you can say “Top 10 plays”)
- AI-generated commentary (yes… robots are practicing their “BOOM!”)
- Personalized viewing experiences (your game, your camera angles, your stats)
Imagine turning on a game and hearing:
“Welcome back, Errol. Based on your viewing history, we’ve removed all missed shots and only show trash talk.”
Honestly… I’d watch that.
Why AI Is Winning For Now…
Let’s be real—AI is attractive to leagues because:
- It’s fast
- It’s accurate
- It doesn’t get tired
- It doesn’t ask for a contract extension
And most importantly…
It never argues with the refs.
Because it is the refs.
The Dark Side Yeah… It Gets Weird
Now here’s where things get a little Black Mirror-ish.
No More Human Mistakes
Sounds great, right?
Wrong.
Bad calls are part of sports culture. They create drama, debates, and bar arguments that last 20 years.
AI takes that away.
No more: “WE GOT ROBBED!”
Now it’s: “Well… the algorithm said so.”
Boring.
Are Athletes Replaceable?
This is the scary part.
If robots can:
- Run faster
- Jump higher
- Never get injured
What’s stopping leagues from saying:
“Alright humans, thanks for everything. We’ll take it from here.”
You think load management is bad now? Wait until robots are like:
“Battery at 12%. Sitting out tonight.”
Broadcasting Jobs Are Shifting
AI doesn’t need sleep, coffee, or a paycheck.
That means:
- Fewer entry-level media jobs
- Less human storytelling
- More data, less personality
And let’s be honest…
Nobody wants to hear a robot say:
“THIS IS WHY HE’S THE GOAT” with zero emotion.
The Bright Side Because It’s Not All Doom
Let’s not act like AI is the villain in a superhero movie.
It’s also doing some amazing things:
Better Fan Experience
- Instant stats
- Smarter replays
- Customized viewing
You basically become the director of your own sports show.
Player Safety
AI can predict injuries before they happen.
That’s huge.
Because nothing ruins a season faster than your star player pulling a hamstring tying his shoe.
Next-Level Strategy
Coaches now have insights that were impossible before.
It’s like playing chess… with a computer… that already knows your next 12 moves.

Why AI Ain’t Replacing Me Or NY’s Sports Loud Mouth Show
Now let’s get something straight.
AI might be smart…
but it ain’t got a mouth like me.
And that’s exactly why NY’s Sports Loud Mouth Show is BUILT for the future—not scared of it.
We Adapt Faster Than the Algorithm
AI updates? Cool.
We BEEN updating.
- New platforms? We’re there.
- New formats? We’re talking louder.
- New trends? We’re already arguing about it before it goes viral.
AI reacts.
We create the reaction.
Personality > Programming
Here’s what AI can’t do:
- Go on a 5-minute rant about a bad call like it ruined your childhood
- Make fans feel like they’re sitting next to you yelling at the TV
- Turn a regular Tuesday game into a must-watch event
That’s not data…
That’s personality.
And personality doesn’t get downloaded.
Real Connection Beats Artificial Intelligence
AI can give you stats.
We give you:
- Energy
- Emotion
- Authenticity
- That “yo did he really just say that?!” moment
Fans don’t fall in love with numbers.
They fall in love with voices.
And NY’s Sports Loud Mouth Show?
That’s a voice you can’t mute.
We Use AI… Without Letting It Use Us
See, the difference is—we’re not fighting AI.
We’re using it like a tool:
- Faster clips
- Smarter content
- Better reach
But the soul of the show?
That stays human.
Because nobody tunes in to hear perfection.
They tune in for passion.
So… Are Humans Getting Benched?
Let’s relax… for now.
People don’t just watch sports for perfection.
We watch for:
- Emotion
- Drama
- Trash talk
- That one guy in the stands with no shirt in 20-degree weather
You can’t program that.
AI might enhance the game…
But it can’t replace the soul of it.
And it definitely can’t replace a loud mouth from New York going off on a bad call.
AI is like that rookie who shows up and starts breaking records immediately.
Impressive? Absolutely.
A little scary? Definitely.
But here’s the truth:
Sports without humans…
is just math.
And sports media without personality?
That’s just background noise.
If a robot ever hits a game-winning shot…
I better still be able to yell:
“HE GOT LUCKY!!!”
And if a robot ever tries to host my show…
I’m unplugging it mid-sentence.
Stay human. Stay loud. And remember—algorithms don’t argue back… I DO.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
