Somewhere in America, a Duke fan aged 12 years in two hours. Somewhere else, a St. John’s fan is still staring at a wall whispering, “we had them…”
Because somehow… SOME WAY… the Duke Blue Devils escaped the St. John’s Red Storm 80–75 in a game that felt like March Madness mixed with emotional damage.
Caleb Foster: Foot Fractured, Brain Not
Caleb Foster came back after 20 days like he forgot he was injured.
Fractured foot?
He treated it like a parking ticket.
- Tough minutes
- Big-time composure
- Played like the moment owed him money
That’s not stats. That’s heart. That’s “I refuse to sit at home during March.”
Isaiah Evans: Second Half = NBA Jam “ON FIRE” Mode
Now let’s talk about the real problem St. John’s couldn’t solve:
Isaiah Evans in the second half.
This man:
- 25 points
- 10-for-15 shooting
- And I’m pretty sure 9 of those makes felt like daggers
At one point, I’m convinced:
- The rim got bigger for him
- The defense got invisible
- And St. John’s fans started googling “how to turn off hot streaks in real life”
Every time Duke needed a bucket, Evans was like:
“Say less.”
Catch → shoot → splash
Drive → float → bucket
Confidence level: illegal in 48 states
Duke at the Free Throw Line (A Comedy Special)
Meanwhile… Duke at the line:
I’ve seen better shooting at a carnival game.
Second half free throws were so bad:
- Fans started holding their breath
- Coach probably considered subbing in a random student
- Even the rim was like “bro… again??”
And STILL… they won.
That’s how crazy this game was.
St. John’s Brought the Fight
The St. John’s Red Storm were not here for a cute story.
- Up 1 at half
- Physical, confident, relentless
- Played like they expected to win
This wasn’t “pesky.”
This was “we might ruin your season tonight.”
Then Duke said:
“Alright, enough playing around.”
They dropped into that 2–3 zone and suddenly St. John’s offense looked like:
- A group project with nobody in charge
- Five guys asking “who’s shooting?” at the same time
That adjustment flipped the game.
Cam Boozer: The Calm in the Chaos
And when everything got tight?
Cameron Boozer said:
“I’ll handle this.”
- Big buckets late
- No panic
- Straight-up closer mentality
While the rest of the team was missing free throws like it was a challenge, Boozer was out there finishing the job.
Game Flow (aka Stress Simulator)
- First Half: St. John’s swinging first
- Halftime: Johnnies up 1, Duke fans sweating
- Second Half: Evans catches fire
- Midway: Zone defense changes everything
- Late Game: Boozer closes, St. John’s runs out of time
Final: Duke 80, St. John’s 75
This game had EVERYTHING:
- A guy playing on a fractured foot
- A team allergic to free throws
- A second-half flamethrower performance
- A defensive adjustment that flipped the script
- And a closer who said “enough of this nonsense”
But let’s be clear:
Duke didn’t just win this game.
They survived:
- St. John’s
- The pressure
- And their own free throw shooting
And if not for Isaiah Evans going nuclear…

I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do.
