There are bad decisions… and then there are celebrity bad decisions — the kind where regular people get a ticket, but superstars somehow turn it into a full ESPN 30-for-30 episode titled: “What Were You Thinking?”

And once again, here we are, grabbing popcorn, watching Tiger Woods—yes, that Tiger—tee off straight into the rough of common sense.

The Myth of “I’m Too Famous for This”

Let’s get something straight: being rich, famous, and able to hit a golf ball 300 yards does not unlock the secret level where laws stop applying.

But for some reason, professional athletes move through life like it’s Grand Theft Auto: Beverly Hills.

Speeding? “Relax officer, I’ve got 15 majors.”
Swerving? “That’s just my fade.”
Sobriety test? “Can I use a putter?”

No, Tiger. This isn’t Augusta. There is no green jacket for passing a DUI checkpoint.

Tiger’s History: From Fairway to “Fair, Why?”

Let’s not act brand new here. Tiger’s résumé isn’t just majors and endorsements—it’s also a greatest hits album of “bro…why?”

  • The legendary 2009 incident (you know the one… Thanksgiving turned into WWE SmackDown with a golf club)
  • The 2017 DUI arrest where Tiger looked like he just woke up from a 3-day nap in a Walgreens parking lot
  • And now… another potential run-in with bad decisions behind the wheel

At this point, Tiger doesn’t just need a swing coach—he needs a life caddie.

“Hey Tiger, maybe don’t hit this shot.”
“Maybe don’t drive tonight.”
“Maybe… just Uber, my guy.”

Why Do Superstars Keep Doing This?

Here’s the truth nobody wants to say out loud:

When you’ve been told “yes” your whole life, “no” starts sounding like a foreign language.

Fans cheer everything.
Sponsors forgive everything.
Money cushions everything.

So somewhere along the way, reality gets replaced with:
“I’ll be fine.”

Spoiler alert: You’re not fine. You’re getting cuffed.

The Confidence vs. Common Sense Battle

Athletes live on confidence. You need it to be great.

But there’s a thin line between:

  • “I can make this shot”
    and
  • “I can definitely drive right now after whatever I just did”

That line? Tiger has crossed it like it’s the 18th hole and he’s chasing history.

Except this time, the only thing he’s chasing is a court date.

Fans: Conflicted but Entertained

Let’s be honest—fans are torn.

On one hand:
“Damn, not again…”

On the other:
“…but what happened this time??”

Because Tiger isn’t just an athlete—he’s a walking Netflix documentary waiting to drop.

You want to root for him. You really do.

But he keeps turning redemption arcs into blooper reels.

Here’s where the jokes pause for a second.

This stuff isn’t just “celebrity drama.”
Driving under the influence is dangerous. Period.

It’s not about fame. It’s about decision-making.

And the wild part? Tiger has come back from injuries, surgeries, and career-ending predictions like a superhero.

But the only thing he can’t seem to defeat… is his own off-course judgment.

Golf gives you mulligans. Life doesn’t.

Tiger keeps stepping up like:
“Yeah, I’ll take another shot.”

And life keeps responding:
“Cool. Here are the consequences.”

Tiger Woods might be one of the greatest to ever swing a club…

…but when it comes to life decisions?

My man is out here shooting triple bogey with a police escort.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.

What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.

Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.

My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
