Ladies and gentlemen, gather around. Grab your popcorn, your stress ball, and maybe a Duke fan’s tears if you can find one (they’re everywhere right now). Because what we witnessed between UConn and Duke wasn’t just a basketball game… it was a full-blown Shakespearean tragedy directed by chaos and starring poor decision-making.
And right at the end? Oh yeah… the shot.

Braylon Mullins just turned into a legend.
This wasn’t just a buzzer-beater.
This was the kind of shot that makes grown men question life choices.
FIRST HALF: DUKE LOOKED LIKE THE AVENGERS
Duke came out swinging like they just drank five Red Bulls and got told UConn stole their lunch money.
Up 15 at halftime.
Everything clicking. Defense tight. Shots falling. Confidence HIGH.
Meanwhile, UConn looked like they accidentally showed up to the wrong gym.
And I’m sitting there like:
“Okay… this might get ugly.”
But clearly, I forgot one thing…
Whatever Hurley said in that locker room… I need it bottled and sold immediately.
Because UConn came out in the second half like:
- They owed Duke money
- Duke insulted their families
- AND someone told them the game was for the last slice of pizza
Adjustments? Oh, he made ALL OF THEM.
- Defensive pressure went from “casual Tuesday” to “airport security”
- Tempo flipped completely
- Duke’s offense suddenly looked like they were solving calculus mid-possession
Hurley basically hit Duke with the “oh, you thought this was over?” speech.
SECOND HALF: DUKE FORGOT HOW TO DUKE
Now let’s talk about Jon Scheyer…
Because my guy… WHAT WAS THAT?
This is becoming a pattern. Big moment? Tight game? Pressure rising?
Scheyer starts coaching like his controller disconnected.
We’ve seen this movie before.
Last year?
Final Four heartbreak.
This year?
Same script. Different villain.
At some point, it’s not bad luck.
It’s a tradition.

I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
