Somebody needs to tell USC that when you invite Oregon to Los Angeles, you’re supposed to play football — not audition for WWE.

Because Saturday night’s Oregon-USC game went from college football rivalry to complete madness faster than you can say, “Targeting!”

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was knocked out of the game in the second quarter after USC linebacker Desman Stephens II delivered a brutal hit as Moore was sliding near the goal line.

And this wasn’t one of those “BOOM, great football hit!” moments.

Nope.

This was one of those hits where the entire stadium suddenly goes quiet, everybody stops eating their overpriced stadium food, and you’re sitting there thinking:

“Forget the score. Is this kid okay?”

Moore went down hard, with his head hitting the turf. Medical personnel immediately rushed onto the field, and after an extended evaluation, Moore was placed on a stretcher, put on a cart and eventually transported by ambulance to LA General County Hospital.

The encouraging news: a team spokesperson said Moore had movement in all of his extremities and was being thoroughly evaluated.

That’s the only part of this story that really matters.

Everything else?

Well…

College football decided to completely lose its mind.

Stephens was flagged for targeting and ejected from the game. Then players from both teams started getting into it at midfield.

Because apparently one quarterback getting taken out wasn’t enough drama for the night.

We needed Oregon vs. USC: The Reunion Nobody Asked For.

Players were jawing. Coaches were trying to separate guys. Flags were flying.

At one point, you’re watching the game thinking:

“Is this football or are they filming the next season of ‘Days of Our Trojans?’”

And then came the plot twist.

Oregon’s backup quarterback wasn’t exactly some random guy named “Billy Who?” sitting at the end of the bench.

It was Dylan Raiola.

Yep.

The former Nebraska quarterback who transferred to Oregon came into the game and immediately started making himself comfortable.

His first pass?

Touchdown.

Three yards to Evan Stewart.

Because apparently Raiola decided:

“Oh, we’re doing THIS tonight? Cool.”

Raiola went on to throw for 289 yards and two touchdowns as Oregon rallied to beat USC 41-27.

So let’s recap this insanity.

Dante Moore — Oregon’s star quarterback and one of the biggest names in college football — gets knocked out of the game.

USC loses its linebacker to a targeting ejection.

Both teams nearly start a midfield street fight.

Oregon’s backup quarterback comes in and starts throwing touchdowns.

And then Oregon walks out of the Coliseum with a 41-27 victory.

That’s not a football game.

That’s a three-hour episode of “Everybody Has Lost Their Damn Minds.”

But jokes aside, the biggest story is Dante Moore.

Forget the Heisman Trophy.

Forget the NFL Draft.

Forget the Oregon-USC rivalry.

Forget everything else.

Hopefully Moore’s evaluation comes back with positive news and he makes a full recovery.

Because football is football.

The rivalry is the rivalry.

And there’s always another Saturday.

But you only get one Dante Moore.

And tonight, that’s what everybody should be talking about.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.

What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.

Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.

My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
