If there was anybody left arguing that Caitlin Clark isn’t the face of the WNBA, Friday night should’ve ended that debate. The jury reached a verdict, the judge banged the gavel, and the internet immediately started looking for new excuses.

Clark didn’t just beat the Seattle Storm. She committed a full-blown basketball robbery in front of a sold-out crowd.

Forty-five points.

Ten assists.

Six three-pointers.

Four steals.

Two blocks.

And somehow she did it all in under 30 minutes. That’s not a basketball game—that’s someone playing NBA 2K on Rookie mode with the cheat codes turned on.

Then came the dagger.

Tie game. Less than a minute to go. Clark dribbles left, sends Flau’jae Johnson searching for Wi-Fi with a nasty sidestep, pulls up from about 26 feet, and BANG! Nothing but net. She turns around flexing, sticks her tongue out, drops an F-bomb, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse absolutely loses its mind.

Honestly… I’d have probably cursed too.

The Indiana Fever walk away with a 110-107 win, while Seattle probably walked straight to the film room asking, “So… whose idea was it to leave Caitlin Clark open?”

The records? Forget about it.

She became the first player in WNBA history with 45 points and 10 assists in the same game.

She became the fastest player ever to hit 200 career three-pointers.

She set the Fever franchise scoring record.

She became the first player to score 45 points in fewer than 30 minutes.

At this point, the WNBA record book needs therapy.

Clark attacked the basket all night, lived at the free-throw line, and once Seattle started protecting the paint, she simply reminded everyone that she shoots from the parking lot for fun.

It’s almost unfair.

She’s basically Steph Curry if Steph also decided to play linebacker on defense. Clark added four steals and two blocks, including a hustle block late that completely changed the game.

And let’s not forget Kelsey Mitchell, who quietly dropped 30 points because apparently when Caitlin Clark catches fire, everyone else on the Fever starts feeling like they’re auditioning for the All-Star Game too. The duo became the first teammates in WNBA history to score 40 and 30 points in the same game.

Seattle actually scored 107 points.

Normally that’s enough to win.

Instead they became the answer to a trivia question.

“What team gave up one of the greatest individual performances in WNBA history?”

Ouch.

The funniest part?

Clark admitted afterward she knew before tipoff that she was about to have one of those nights.

Imagine waking up, looking in the mirror, and saying, “Yeah… I’m about to destroy a professional basketball team today.”

That’s confidence.

Or maybe it’s just Caitlin Clark being Caitlin Clark.

She’s also coming off a back injury and was supposedly on a minutes restriction.

Minutes restriction?

Apparently nobody told Caitlin.

Coach Stephanie White wasn’t pulling her out of that game unless the fire alarm went off.

Then Clark delivered my favorite quote of the night.

When asked about the minutes restriction she smiled and said, “Steph knows better than that.”

Translation?

“I’m staying in this game. Good luck stopping me.”

Look, whether people love her or love complaining about her, one thing is crystal clear.

Caitlin Clark moves the needle unlike anyone in women’s basketball.

She fills arenas.

She breaks television ratings.

She breaks records.

And on Friday night…

She might’ve broken the scoreboard too.

The WNBA wanted a superstar.

Instead, they got a walking highlight reel who keeps forcing the record book to update itself every other week.
