Boy oh boy.
The Tennessee Titans looked at the NFL landscape — the young offensive geniuses, the quarterback whisperers, the Shanahan tree graduates who actually know which end of the headset talks — and said:
“Nah.
Give us Robert ‘Bambi’ Saleh.”
Yes, Robert Bambi Saleh, freshly announced as Titans head coach, and somehow a man with one of the worst head-coaching tenures of the modern era has once again failed upward like a LinkedIn influencer with no resume.
And before the excuses start — no, this wasn’t the Jets’ fault.
That lazy argument needs to be put in witness protection.
Let’s get something straight:
The Jets didn’t sabotage Robert Saleh.
Robert Saleh sabotaged Robert Saleh.
- He handpicked Mike LaFleur as offensive coordinator
- Realized LaFleur had no clue what he was doing
- Then fired him… after agreeing he had no clue what he was doing
That’s not leadership.
That’s hiring a plumber, watching him flood your house, and then acting shocked when the ceiling collapses.
Oh — and remember Zach Wilson?
Yeah, that one wasn’t forced on him either.
Saleh wanted Zach Wilson.
Defended him.
Enabled him.
Stood at the podium like a proud dad while the kid threw the ball to ghosts, cameramen, and occasionally the opposing team.
That wasn’t development.
That was football neglect.

Then came Hard Knocks, where Saleh officially turned into a meme.
There he was:
- Hugging Aaron Rodgers
- Laughing at Aaron Rodgers
- Practically holding Aaron Rodgers’ pocket during warmups
The man looked less like a head coach and more like Rodgers’ emotional support animal.
When the Rodgers–Garrett Wilson drama hit?
Saleh had zero control.
No accountability.
No authority.
Just vibes, buzzwords, and that same wide-eyed deer look.
Which brings us to…
Saleh’s favorite slogan was All Gas, No Brakes.
Let’s correct it:
“All Brakes, No Gas, Flat Tire, Hazard Lights On.”
This team never moved forward.
They just revved the engine in neutral while the league passed them by.
Jets fans have endured football war crimes, so this isn’t easy to say — but Saleh is absolutely in the conversation.
Here’s the murderers’ row:
- Adam Gase: 9–23
(At least he knew he was evil.) - Rich Kotite: 4–28
(Historically bad. Actual football terrorism.) - Joe Walton: 53–57
(Mediocre, but not destructive.) - Herm Edwards: 33–31
(PLAYOFFS. Respect.) - Todd Bowles: 24–40
(Boring, but professional.) - Robert Saleh: 20–36
No playoffs.
No quarterback development.
No offensive identity.
No discipline.
Somehow, less results than Bowles, less dignity than Gase, and more excuses than anyone.
That’s elite incompetence.

Saleh reminds everyone of Rex Ryan… without the success.
Rex:
- Two AFC Championship Games
- Beat Brady and Manning
- Then flamed out spectacularly
Afterward, Rex jumped to Buffalo — another franchise with no QB, no direction — got fired quickly, and now enjoys Sundays on ESPN with brand-new teeth and zero responsibilities.
Saleh?
- No playoff wins
- No playoff appearances
- No defining moments
Just slogans, speeches, and vibes.
Now Tennessee — an already confused franchise — hands him the keys.
This is the same team that overachieved with duct tape and prayer.
A defense held together without stars for most of the year.
And yes, Saleh can coach defense.
But guess what?
That vaunted 49ers defense he was supposedly the mastermind of just got embarrassed 41–6 by Seattle in the divisional round.
That wasn’t chess.
That was checkers with missing pieces.
And here’s the tragedy.
Cam Ward needed:
- An offensive mind
- A developer
- Someone who could protect his confidence
Instead, he gets Bambi.
A coach whose history says:
“We’ll blame the QB, then the OC, then the organization — but never me.”
This is how young quarterbacks implode.
This is how franchises reset every three years.
This is how Titans fans learn Jets pain.
Just wait.
After Titans losses, don’t be shocked when Saleh starts calling Joe Benigno like he did in New York:
“Joe, lemme tell ya what really happened…”
Buddy, we already know.
Look around the league:
- Young offensive innovators
- QB developers
- Modern thinkers
And then…
Robert Saleh
Standing there like a Disney character wondering why the hunters are back.
Robert Saleh is not evil.
He’s not dumb.
He’s just not a head coach.
He’s a coordinator who wanted the big chair, loved the cameras, loved the slogans — and never mastered the job.
The Titans didn’t hire a leader.
They hired a catchphrase.
And Tennessee fans are about to find out what Jets fans already know:
Bambi doesn’t survive in the NFL jungle.

My name is Errol Marks and I’d like to tell you why I believe I can be a major asset to your station. I’m from a small town in Long Island, NY and from a very young age I’ve always had a love for sports talk radio. Growing up, I would listen religiously to shows like Mike and the Mad Dog, Mike and Mike, and Imus in the Morning and studied what made those shows so great. I’ve made it my goal to be as influential as the hosts I grew up listening to, and with my knowledge of all major sports, enthusiastic and fearless personality, and my preparation skills, I know I can get to that level. This is an art and a medium that I’m passionate about and one that I feel can never be replaced.
What makes my story so unique goes beyond my 10+ years of experience in sports media. In addition to over ten years of creating and hosting sports talk radio shows, I created the World Wide Sports Radio Network - one of the first ever digital sports radio networks - in 2012. Since the network began, we have had some of the best content in digital sports media. We have six quality shows on our network covering all sports and sports betting. I’m currently hosting New York’s Sports Loud Mouth, and you can find that show and the rest of our great shows at https://worldwidesportsradio.com/.
Our network’s content and listenership has grown significantly year to year and, in the past year, we’ve achieved 3.6 million minutes listened on our audio stream, over 29k followers on tik tok, 500k viewed on YouTube, 1.7 million downloads on Apple Podcasts, and 906,917 plays on Spotify. While we are enjoying a continued increase in growth, I feel that we can take this to a new level and a new audience with your help.
My goal since the day I started is to become the greatest and most recognizable sports radio show host in the country. I can guarantee that nobody in this industry currently has my passion, personality or ability to shape the future of sports broadcasting and entertainment like I do. If given the opportunity, I hope to further share my story and many talents with you and your station.
